And they’ll still have Dak Prescott at QB.

I would love to see him go there and never get to a SuperBowl

Think a lot of it depends on the picks. That #3 from AZ worth way more than a mid round pick in the next two drafts.

25 is the last year of his contract, if Payton can’t fix him they will move on…. So in other words, they would be moving on

Contract would have expired in 25 if he wouldn’t have resigned. Contract is currently frozen. Saints have the leverage here

Good. 2 1sts are an absolute minimum.

theorectically you are saying CSP can never coach again if the Saints wanted it that way.

Mickey probably don’t care now, Sean tried to negotiate for him pissed him off and now he will make him wait or the team he goes to will pay the price. I like it

That’s certainly what they will argue.

Other teams have argued it and received some level of compensation , albeit small.

It’s a grey area that hasn’t been litigated yet and the coaches don’t have a cba

I don't think there's been a definitive answer on this, just speculation on both sides.

The only thing that has been brought up is if a player retires while under contract, the team still holds his rights if the player decides to unretire.

Well it always makes sense to always start high unless you are a certain group of ST posters

A friend of mine works in the Saints front office told me this last year. I haven’t heard anything like that before so I didn’t repeat it. Sounds like he wasn’t full of shite.

And notice, in back to back posts, you have both sides presented equally.
