I am willing to take any wagers where someone thinks Taysom will be the number 2QB ahead of Jameis on opening day.

Career completions to #Saints players.

Jameis Winston -> 9
Taysom Hill -> 6

I think it's the 30 interceptions that were the problem. That is pathetic and the biggest of problems.

Well he’s already thrown a touchdown pass to Marcus Williams so he’s gotten in game reps with the team

For a backup that’s not even that bad. If most backups in the NFL played 16 games behind that line they would throw similar INT #s and probably way less TDs and yards.

Jameis is actually a high character guy. He was a leader in college. Everyone has made dumb choices while in college if you haven’t then you didn’t enjoy college.

He’s really not. He’s constantly doing stupid shite. He was suspended 3 games in the NFL for groping a Uber driver so it’s not just the “we all made dumb choices in college” excuse.

That's bad for anybody. No QB has thrown 30 picks in 30+ years in the NFL before this year. He also broke the pick 6 record by throwing 7. The most incredible stat though is that he threw a pick on his first pass of the game 4 times this year.

Take every backup QB in the league. Have them play 16 games. Have them throw as many passes as Jameis.

All of them would throw more.

Sorry. Nope. The guy has serious arm talent, but he sucked last year. Get over it.

I know. But people were bitching at those saying they didn't want him with the Saints and posting how many yards he threw for. They left out the really bad stuff concerning the picks and pick 6 record. I'm just saying let's be honest when talking about him. Serious arm talent, but he is a bad decision maker on and off of the field. Maybe Payton can do something with him though.

I’m not sticking up for the guy off the field, but football wise, by all accounts his teammates in Tampa loved him. He worked hard and was a leader. When he got benched for Fitzmagic he was supportive and tried his best to contribute in other ways.
I’m not saying the guy is winning humanitarian of the year, but he’s got a shot and fitting in with this team.

Gross. But whatev, probably a good idea overall. Jameis just sucks in general and doesn't deserve to be on a great team.
