Rehab his image and potentially be Brees’s successor?
If Payton develops Winston into a legit successor to Brees it will be one of the all-time NFL moves. This to follow the signing of Brees to the Saints.

Exactly.
A lot of people think this is about Brees teaching Winston but this is all about CSP getting inside of Winston's head and seeing what he sees.
It won't take near a whole season for CSP to know if he has his QB of the future.
