Running Back has to be one of the biggest needs on the roster

Obviously QB will always be #1 until you have one, but RB is a massive, massive need.
It seemed pretty clear to me that Allen wants a more run oriented attack, and when you don't have a QB, or you've got a really young one, you need reliable Backs that compliment each other.
Alvin Kamara is getting older, has a huge contract, and is likely to be suspended for at least a few games next year. And there is noone behind him.
We need to get AT LEAST a traditional Running Back, possibly another pass catching one as well.
I do not believe most of the time in spending high draft picks on a RB, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do.

missed the boat last year to do so when we made all those trade ups. Really liked breece hall last year. Bunch of nice rb's this year too.

DT is by far the biggest need, but RB is up there also

If we manage to get a 1st round pick in the SP trade, I could see us potentially looking at a RB in round 2.
I'd like Jahmyr Gibbs. Guy is a pretty similar play to Alvin and would be a great natural successor. Definitely a 3 down back who excels in the pass game.

Obviously we need to see what Allen does at OC, I think Carmichael definitely "moves on".

I am not worried about RB. That is the easiest position to fill.

If AK stays on the roster we don't need a RB similar to him, we need a bruiser who can complement AK and soften up the defense. If the plan is to move on from AK then yes this is a good option to try to replace him.

It's up there, but they need to address QB, DT, LG, & DE before worrying about RB. Obviously, if the value is there, you go RB; but IMO those 4 positions rank higher.

QB / LG / DT / RB / DE / FS / SS.....I think that's the order of priority.

>LG--Peat needs to be replaced on performance plus he and Penning have both been injured a good bit so OL depth is another concern. We need to bring back Hurst for sure.

>FS/SS--Maye didn't do much in coverage this year. Mathieu had a lot of tackles, but he was clearly loafing quite a bit as well. He got better as the year went on, perhaps it was personal/family issues or whatever that he finally got under control and was able to get his mind right
>WR is next. Olave is good but I don't see him as a true #1 yet. Does Thomas come back? If healthy you could see even in game 1 how he can still take over a game. Landry would be a great #3 if healthy. Could Shaheed take the next step up to a #3/#2 level? Callaway a good #3/4. I blame the lack of WR production more on Carmichael and Andy Dalton than on them

I think we have Peat for one more year, unless they need to manipulate his contract to get under the cap. Hurst is under contract through 2024 and has a 2023 cap hit of $3.7M; so he'll definitely be here.
Peat expected to count $18.4M against 2023 & 2024 cap, cutting him in 2023 only saves $1.4M. Cutting in 2024 saves $8M

FA class is loaded highlighted by Saquon, Pollard, Josh Jacobs.
Guys like Hunt, Miles Sanders, David Montgomery in that next tier
Followed by the Jamaal Williams, Mattison, Perine, Foreman types who have proven they can tote it
Mostert, Jeff Wilson, Singletary, Damien Harris, McKinnon, Deesrnest Johnson, Boston Scott etc
A lot of interesting names, should drive price down somewhat in FA and draft
