Didn’t Green Bay turn the pick we traded them into a bust at safety? Sounds like both teams dropped the ball there

Lamar isnt elite or accurate, but he has the ability to convert 3rd downs teams shouldn't.
An elite defense with a run game that he can spark can be nasty. You're seeing it with ravens tonight.

Sean Payton had a very, very strong Bro-mance with Drew Brees, and, it was justified. But, towards the final years, Payton allowed his personal friendship with Brees cloud his judgment in drafting and doing what was best for the franchise.
On top of that, Payton was never the greatest talent evaluator. He is known as a QB/Offense Guru, but, the final years proved that perhaps he is not.

Yes, it is important to keep in mind his successes as well as his failures. There's a fair balance between the two. But, it is safe to say that he is NOT some kind of Guru or Savant. He was very good at times, and bad at other times.
