QB is probably too young for what you’d like in Camp.

Bridgewater, Wentz, Beathard. Someone like that. I’d be shocked if they didn’t.

We did. He’s called the head coach.

They’ll prob trade add a FA for practice purposes but then trade for someone familiar with Moore I would think, bunch

Why is this getting downvoted to oblivion? It’s fairly obvious a veteran backup is needed in camp.

Can people not read and think this means as a starter?

13:1 Downvote ratio yet the Saints will likely do as you suggested. Shows the football and NFL knowledge of posters here.

I’m ok with Wentz. Probably the best out there. Hes not bad if he has superior protection. Kinda like Carr.,

Stupidity and they feel anything that is a threat to Shough being a franchise QB must be downvoted.

Roll with shough and rattler. If they suck, we get a top 3 pick next year for a stud qb. This roster is not currently constructed for a Super Bowl run anyways.

Kirk Cousins is available.
$20 mil and some draft picks ought to do.

I’d prefer to let Shough chuck it this year. He needs the experience while we aren’t ready to win. Moore needs to tell him to take his lumps, learn, don’t get discouraged - he needs him ready for ‘26.

He’s got Moore, Nussmeier and Tolzien to mentor him.

ETA: Unless of course if over the next couple months leading up to camp he looks totally lost.

I disagree. He’s too young. He doesn’t habe enough veteran experience to pass along and would compete rather than support our young QB’s.

With who we have on the coaching staff we don't need a vet just to have a vet. We already had one we just released (not talking about Carr), so it obviously wasn't viewed as something needed.

Either we roll with Shough (who we don't know if he is legit or not but we take a chance and find out), or we go sign a vet QB that has a legit chance at winning with this team (not any of the ones you mentioned, and honestly I don't see anyone out there worth bringing in).

Bring back Teddy two gloves if we have to. He can show the young guys how to prepare to be a QB and he would be cheap.

Wentz would be my second choice.

No Roger's please.

We all know he isn't gonna be the guy in 2026, so what are we getting him ready for?
