These are the same idiots that gave us a “B” Grade after the 2017 Draft, a top 5 Draft class of all-time. Kiper was WAY off on his mock draft for this year, as were many other talking heads. In fact, I’d say them giving us a “C” Grade likely means we’ll have the best class in the league this year

Just chill out and enjoy watching Olave embarrass DB’s game in and game out, and Penning dominate the line of scrimmage every Sunday

Highly paid scouts and GMs get the draft wrong all the time, so why Joe-Blow who watched a few YouTube clips and hasn’t heard of half the players in the draft feels he knows better will always be a mystery to me.

Most people like this are extremely unreasonable anyways. There is no point in even trying to convince them to wait until they actually see them on the field.

I’m hoping drafting Olave will be turn out to be similar to us drafting McAllister. Insurance again a talented head case. And I hope it turns out just as successful.

Kiper is always off. I don't know why people believe this idiot has an inside track to how talent will develop.

You’re wrong in this post.

2017 is a top 2 draft all time, not 5.

Well, in his defense, anyone in the top 2 is also in the top 5.

Kiper is fine, as are most of the talking heads. They all acknowledge that the draft is a crapshoot. The draft grades are not about how good your players will be, but rather did you maximize your picks (which is hard to know). If Olave is a stud, we’ll feel like winners. But maybe we could’ve had multiple studs by keeping 16, 98, and and 120. Who knows? Just enjoy it.

I don't even need to look at draft grades to know the media is going to penalize the Saints for "losing" the trade up. We could select football Jesus and it wouldn't matter, losing "points" is the easy downgrade.

To me it looked like the saints wanted a WR and the writing on the wall said they were going to come off quick.

I 100% wanted a WR and OL with this draft, we got it. I couldn't tell you if they were the best picks, but I think they could be the right picks for the Saints in 2022.

Just remember, having two viable weapons on the outside gives you a better chance at being a good-great offense. This team finally addressed this again. We actually have 2 guys with Wr1 talent. This is huge for lesser talented guys to get open, it seems that many overlook what that brings to an offense on this board.

People make the mistake of thinking that coaches and GMs gaf what other teams or draft gurus are doing; or that they are trying to “win” the draft. All they care about is getting the guys they like before they are gone. Sometimes that means reaching, but if your scouts have him valued in that slot than it isn’t a reach.

You can't use results-oriented thinking, especially dripping with hindsight bias, to judge the moves.

Now, you can say teams have different chart values and that may account for the difference in opinion, but it's pretty accepted that the Saints overpaid for both of our move ups.

You never should draft for need.

These types of arguments are as bad (or possibly worse) than arguing based on the opinion of draftniks.
