Lol I just made a thread about this possibility. I think he is worth moving up to get. I love his game and what he could bring to the Saints.

It’s possible but not likely. But it also wasn’t likely that the Saints got Lattimore either so you never know.

It would be hard to contain the fan bases excitement but there would be a ton of melts for giving up the future first and honestly, it will prolly cost more than that. Maybe even next year’s third.

This would absolutely be insane! Kid is a baller and playmaker. Lets make this happen Loomis

This would be insane, but I just cant see this happening^

Aka, Ruggs being the first WR taken, CJ Henderson going before Simmons. and ultimately the Panthers selecting Kinlaw instead of Simmons.

With that said, it would actually be crazier if Mcshay or Mel Kiper’s mocks were even close

You’re right, there is always some dumb unprecedented weird shite going on early in the draft. shite generally gets weird after the first 3-4 picks

One interesting thought about the uniqueness of this draft is the amount of lineman creeping up projections. They are historically viewed as “safe picks”. With the inability for teams to do thorough evaluations on players, I can see a run on safe picks and talented players slipping down the draft. Personally I don’t see Simmons falling to 10, but HOLY SHITE if he did.

Very good point. On the other side of the spectrum, it makes you wonder what team would give up to move up and get one of the QBs outside of Burrow. I still think Tua is a safer pick as far as potential in the NFL. But teams really havent had the ability to fall in love with Hebert and Love as much.

What are we giving exactly? 24, 88, and 1st and 3rd next year?

Man I hate giving up future picks but I can’t lie it would be enticing. Simmons has all pro written all over him.

Best defensive player in the draft. Seems crazy to me that Brown and Simmons wouldn't be the 2nd and 3rd defenders off the board. Would love to see the panthers and falcons pass on them as projected here, especially the falcons trading up to do so.

We moved up about the same amount of spots for Davenport. I don't see Simmons falling that far but damn this would be awesome.

If he gets past the Giants he’ll have to get past the Panthers too. If he gets past them, I have no doubt someone I’ll trade up for him at 8,9 or 10.

An all-in move for sure, but this one could be a home run. Cleve just might take that trade for a number one next year.

A guy like that would be worth a future first to get. Still can’t wrap my head around Davenport

Yeah I'm not shitting on Davenport and still think he's gonna help us a lot but when I saw the saints moved up I was praying it was for Tremaine Edmunds.

Simmons would be ideal

I would be thrilled with this trade up.

I also would be interested in trading up to 18/19 for J. Jefferson as another possiblity.
