I hope he actually comes so I can tell another person with a “source” to go frick themselves.

I’d be fine with that. To be wrong and get a good player to help the team is fine with me.

If it upsets you this much you should consider taking a break, Mary.

Who could blame him for not wanting to live in New Orleans? Bad memories and a bad time of his life.

Absolutely not.

Leaving NOLA was one of the best decisions ive made as an adult.

Too humid, too much crime, city smells like piss, and shitty rundown infrastructure. Why is anyone surprised millionaires don't want to live in NOLA??

DeShaun Watson did not want to play in snowy Cleveland either.

There's roughly 45 million reasons why Mathieu might reconsider living in New Orleans again for the next 3 years.

As a a matter of fact, it's only those reasons that will determine where ever he plays. Any perceived pros or cons a city/team has to win or not win his services is a distant second to the contract details.

If I had a busy load of money I would not live in that shite hole either. Plus he has all the family, friends, etc……wanting something. Go to Pittsburgh

If true, I wonder if it’s New Orleans specifically or Louisiana in general. He could easily live on the Northshore or something.

It’s a specific group of people that he’s trying to avoid

Are you bored or something dude? I want to play pretend on the internet also. Can I be your source that is a former player? I want to be a former all-pro LB that played in the 80s and 90s.

Not saying you're right or wrong, or that you haven't been right in the past, but the only way this is first-hand is if comes straight from the person who supposedly said it. And from the sounds of it this is third-person to you and fourth-person to us.

And I've seen interviews where he seems to have no issue here. If people really wanted to get him, he was easy to find. He doesn't need to be here to get got.

All of that stuff always has been and always will be far too overblown. If it was that bad he wouldn't have survived his time at lsu.

More like CJ likely blew up because we told him he would be part of a potential trade package and we read too much into it.

Just like we are reading too much into Ty's reply. He likely really feels that way, but that doesn't mean it is or isn't happening.

Honest question. If he is still this game changer that board is drooling over , why is he available going into April.

I mean he is a perfect fit in the Saints 3 safety system to pair with CJ. He is a game changer in THIS setting. Maybe not so much in others.

Same reason other veteran players like Jarvis are still available…they were asking for too much money.

It's been a while since Will Smith was shot in NOLA but after that I remember specifically Tyrann going on a pretty big rant on Rich Eisen's show about how he knew the killer and the problems that NOLA has in general and that he made his visits home as brief as possible. And I'm pretty sure friends of the killer started sending him death threats after that, only proving his point.

That was a while ago so maybe his feelings have changed, can't speak on how he feels about being back here now but honestly I wouldn't blame him a bit if he still feels that way, those problems he spoke of back then have only gotten worse.

Here's the video I'm talking about a couple of days after Smith's death, about 14 minutes but worth it
