A lot of people on here have been involved in spreading ridiculous rumors like this one. You should probably stop because you look foolish.

Every part of that quote can be true without shutting down rumors. He's aware intermediaries may have talked and is aware of the reporting on it.
Taken with first part trying to shut down, we just can't take any coach for their "word." Coaches often straight lie: "I'm not going to be the Alabama coach." Coaches are also deceptive pricks: Let me stop you right there. I'm not going to be the next coach at LSU."

Why does anyone believe anything these coaches say?
They lie all the time to cover their asses. They just say whatever they have to in order to produce the best end results for themselves.
I also wonder why the media bothers asking the coaches so many questions when all you get is generic coach speak 99.9% of the time.

What I don't get is all the whimpering and whining like being dumped by a first love. Who wants a coach or player who prefers being/doing somewhere else? I want someone who is plugged in and wants to be here. Face it he doesn't love us anymore.

hahahahaa, what do you think he would say to press after a round of golf. "yes, I was interested in the Miami job with Tom until the racial suit was filed by the former coach and then I backed off...
