I’m not. He’s an excellent coach that would help this team tremendously. On the opposite end if you move him for a boat load of picks that’s great asset collection for the franchise.

It’s a win win either way.

God I wish.

I don’t think we are in a position where he’d rather come here than one of a host of other teams in better personnel and cap situations. As long as the FO holds to requiring a kings ransom for him then maybe that return possibility remains semi strong.

Absolutely. Jeff Duncan regardless of if you like him or not usually doesn't throw stuff out like that.

So we were at fault for Bountygate and deserved what we got? Because you have to believe that too if Duncan is now Gospel.

I wonder if the idiots who claimed we should fire Payton still will stand by that

Or team wants it’s money for ticket renewals. Jeff is nothing more than a mouthpiece for Gayle and the team.

I’m calling it now. Brady and Payton lead Saints to the Super Bowl next year

Replace Brady with Rodgers and you might be on to something....he is ready to leave GB for the right HC and receiving corps.

Exactly, Payton’s impulsiveness with draft assets is the last thing we need right now. Let’s get a 2nd and 3rd and help the rebuild.

Like it or not, the article also mentioned the affinity Gayle and Mickey have for DA. He isn’t going anywhere and deep down you know it.

Is this a Saints leak to drive up the price?

If this season has shown us anything it's that Sean Payton is one hell of a head coach. I'd welcome him back and feel pretty damn fortunate if it were to happen.

The only reason people close to him would list the Saints number 1 is because he’s under contract with them so of course they will say that.

Well, it’s much easier to validate this vs Payton rumors. If Gayle lives DA the rest is irrelevant as he’ll return.

This could be Gayle and Mickey attempting to drive up the trade price.
