Wtf does this have to with anything. Gayle has been totally fine as an owner of both franchises. She hasn't been afraid to spend money. From what we can tell, she stays behind the scenes and let's the people do their jobs. She also has made tough decisions before and reversed course when necessary (Stan Van Gundy). At the least, she is what you hope for in an owner and not like some a-hole like Daniel Synder.

We have a great scouting front office and we now have a first round pick again, plus an extra 2 next year.
The team will probably be bad enough to have a decent pick next year.
After 2023 we will begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to cap normalcy. Post 2024 we should be relatively good to go besides a few lingering contracts.
But yeah, I wouldn't expect winning seasons, playoffs, or a ton of fun over the next few years. If you like watching young players take their lumps and develop, though, we will be an interesting operation.

Yes it’s a bad sign. Let’s face it, she got to where she is by marriage and because she was in the right place at the right time when Rita slapped her around a little in the Saints suite.

The problem isn’t the organization it’s the city, who would want to move their family there. Schools suck, city is trashy and ridden with crime, people get shot just for driving on the interstate around the city. Cars get broken into every day, old arse superdome they keep putting a band aid on when they should just demolish it and build a new stadium. It’s gonna take a lot to ever hire a top tier coach we will always have to get a young and unproven type or DA type because the city is not a desirable place to be at this moment in time.

Do tou think someone making the salary NFL coaches make would send his kids to inner city public schools
The practice facility where the spend most of their time isn’t in the city, they can live in nice suburban neighborhoods in Metairie, Kenner or Mandeville.
There are only 32 of these jobs, no one is turning it down because of whatever issues there are in the city,

If the coach being pursued has options, we’re likely coming in 2nd. Only advantage is a non meddlesome owner.
Even Payton (Packers) and Brees (Dolphins) wanted to sign elsewhere before signing with the franchise of last resort.
