Don’t ask me how I know this, but Gayle was convinced we were going to be good this year

Because her lackeys told her that. Same goes for the Pelicans

Never going to happen
Just lost a team due to lack of local investment
See above

Is OKC even a bigger tv market than New Orleans?

She knows she inherited something that only 32 of exist in the whole world and she knows that it’s a magic money printing machine and the checks keep coming in.

If Gayle sells, it's anyone's guess where the team is located in a decade

Utah Saints?
San Antonio Saints?
Toronto Saints?
St. Louis Saints?
San Diego Saints?

So? Is a team worth having if it is perpetually bad and horribly run?

I agree. You can't win with this kind of ownership.

A new ownership group of Todd Graves and the Mannings and a ban on incels starting the game threads would be huge

SA would love them.

They were getting their hopes up when the Saints were there temporarily after Katrina.

Even the name works, them being the city of Saint Antonio.

I don't think they allow that anymore. Plus, the whole "fans own the team" is largly a gimmick. They have no decision making and i don't think they make a dime off that piece of paper they own.

I’m glad people are coming around to this. Gayle is a complacent shitty owner

People act like Tom wasn’t exactly this pre-Katrina.

Ya'll thinking to small regarding market. We are not losing the Saints to Orlando or San Antonio. If we lose them, it will be to Mexico City or London.

There aren't many people that are in Louisiana that can take on that type of investment.

The owners don't have to be Louisiana based, this is so dumb. Maybe decades ago when relocations were more the norm and franchises didn't cost as much, any owner wanting to movie it likely would not be approved.

Owning a sports franchise is a coveted toy by these billionaires, especially an NFL team finding one that has no desire to relocate the team wouldn't be hard.

Now a Pelicans ownership change could leave them susceptible to relocation but the saints aren't going anywhere

Tom was a pretty active owner for better or worse.
