Well up until a few decades ago it was normal practice to not hire them solely because of skin color and it had been that way for centuries so I'd say a decade or so of the opposite isn't really that big of a deal.

White people should have to pay penalties for the colour of our skin because we are inherent evil and racist. I am so sorry that I chose to be born a white CIS male.

They have a book they check for anything that can be considered racist, sexist or in anyway offensive or unadvantageouss to someone.

First line says, 1. As long as it isn't designed to help the straight white male, its good.

Why not just ban white people from the game?

I don’t even necessarily have an issue with this rule because the league is paying for it. I do have a massive issue with them not getting rid of the Rooney rule though. They have lawsuits because of that dumbass rule and still don’t want to get rid of it. If a team knows it wants to hire a specific coach why should they have to bring in a minority candidate for a fake interview.

What if a coach just identified as a woman or a minority?

And where does the NFL get their money to subsidize this racism?

Maybe I'm missing something, but this doesn't sound like a thing that needed to be on the books as a policy and pretty much takes care of itself year in and year out. This is virtue signaling by the NFL and paints everything in a bad light as "affirmative action."

Go have this conversation with your one black friend for some counter perspective. You would probably change your thoughts a little. It isn't "taking care of itself". Neither is forcing people to do shite...that never works.

What would the NFL say if 3/4 of these minority hires are white Hispanics?

It's asking those owners to do better and hire QUALIFIED minority candidates.

I find this (and I doubt I'm in the minority) offensive Coach.

Teams should get defensive about it unless their division has special teams.
