re: According to Luginbill right now on ESPNU - 5iveEuax4eaux
Just wanna say I had a rough day today. Really really rough. Like Alchol can't even fix it rough. But this thread has been making me laugh a deep, hardy, healthy laugh from the bottom of my soul for about the last half hour. This place is everything it's rumored to be and you guys are a national fri...

re: It was mentioned before last season started: Stingley and Chase - 5iveEuax4eaux
KV is more a straight line speed guy. So playing him back and letting him see where the ball is going allows him to use his speed to get where the ball is. When he's up and has to react to every movement the receiver makes and get his head around, it handicaps him by taking away his biggest strength...

re: Brandon Ingram overtook Lebron last night in scoring per game - 5iveEuax4eaux
That first playoff appearance against GSW we were up in the 4th of every game but one. AD played like Kareem for about 41 minutes a game that series. Problem is the games last 48 minutes....

re: OFFICIAL Discussion Thread for New LSU DC Candidates - 5iveEuax4eaux
Don't know if he's been mentioned, but my vote is for David Reeves. What he's done with that D at UAB after them not even having football just 4 years ago is amazing. And he's a LB guy like Aranda was....

re: Projecting 2020 Starting Line Up - 5iveEuax4eaux
Yea the extra year of weights will help him big time. Dude is legit tho. There was a play against Clemson where he was late getting in the game and was still trying to figure out what coverage we were in. He was lined up across from Higgins in the slot and as the ball is snapped his head is complete...

re: 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami vs. 2019 LSU using 1995 rules (Targeting, etc) - 5iveEuax4eaux
Not when the backers don't have to contest with lineman at the second level. Not when Jacoby Stevens can literally camp out in the box because the pass isn't a threat. But like I said against a tough scheme in a one game scenario anything could happen. ...

re: 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami vs. 2019 LSU using 1995 rules (Targeting, etc) - 5iveEuax4eaux
That's the squad I feel could beat us. I just don't see it happening with '95 Nebraska. I understand the scheme is tough, but when it's gonna take 5 to block 3 and our backers are as fast if not faster than all your backs but one, it's gonna be tough. Anything is possible I guess...

re: Projecting 2020 Starting Line Up - 5iveEuax4eaux
Kary hasn't decided to leave yet. If he stays I agree Flott still starts but on the outside. If he goes I think they roll with a safety heavy look. With Stevens, Harris, and Lewis all coming back and Mo Hampton proving he can handle the middle of the field, I can see Harris or Lewis in that slot rol...

re: Projecting 2020 Starting Line Up - 5iveEuax4eaux
Call me crazy, but I feel like McMath is going to start over Palmer or Boutte. He blocks well, knows his assignments, and has proven to be explosive. When Marshall went down he was the only guy who's playing time saw a big jump so the trust is there. I can see a scenario where Chase goes to the slot...

re: 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami vs. 2019 LSU using 1995 rules (Targeting, etc) - 5iveEuax4eaux
It's not that they are bums, just physically outmatched. It's just different now compared to then. Now if you're argument is that '95 Nebraska was further ahead of the pack in '95 than LSU is in 2019, I would definitely listen to that angle...

re: 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami vs. 2019 LSU using 1995 rules (Targeting, etc) - 5iveEuax4eaux
In deed. In a completely different scheme with lineman 305+. They don't run the triple option. Speed would matter for Nebraska. The whole point of the small offensive line is so they are mobile enough to get you moving side to side an create running lanes. Go watch Phillips highlights. You'll see 80...

re: Ryan Clark.... - 5iveEuax4eaux
RC was harsh but he wasn't far off the mark. Against teams with secondary talent comparable to the talent of his receivers, he hovers right around 50% completion rate and hasn't touched 30 points. The only outlier is Bama last year and that was against the same trash DBs they had this year. Only the...

Phillips is who I'm talking about. '95 fast and '19 fast are much different. The only 40 time I could find on him was 4.54. Marcel Brooks ran 4.60 as a high schooler. ...
