Saints GM Mickey Loomis on the firing of Dennis Allen: “DA is an excellent football coach. This season, we have had an avalanche of injuries. It took its toll. DA has never offered excuses, he fought each day for this organization and this team and that is what makes today disappointing. Dennis has been an integral part of this organization’s success for the better part of twenty years. He will be missed.”

No lies detected… he IS an excellent defensive football coach and he was an integral part of our past success.

Mickey needs psychoanalysis. Man is delusional. I’m glad Gayle made the executive decision over him it was about time.

Maybe she finally learned her team was 93 million over budget for next year.
As said above his comments lead one to believe he did not want DA fired and if that's true he will be next at some point.

It is clear at this point that DA is a great coordinator, but HC not so much. His absolute ceiling is a game or 2 above .500 and an early playoff exit as HC.

Saints are last in the league in yards given up per game. 28th vs the run and 28th vs the pass

Did you just become a Saints fan this week?

He is making excuses so that the same excuses can be applied to himself.

quote:guess who’s been the defensive coordinator/db coach for a majority of the saints best seasons in all their history? It’s Dennis Allen. He’s a terrible HC, but he’s a damn good defensive coordinator who lost the team.
