If your logic is you’re going to play Carr and possibly Rattler this year then you draft Dart, let him sit a year, and worry about filling in more gaps next year

Yup. Same for Shedeur or Milroe for that matter.

Milroe threw well and the combine and has run 23 mph in a game. He probably has 4.3 speed. Also not an Anthony Ruchardson who is basically a character question at this point.

In a running based offense, who knows how good Milroe could be.

Mahomes, Love, etc all sat out at first.

Sure if you trade back 6 or 7 spots and pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd. I think Dart has a chance to be as good as any QB in a weak class. That being said, there are so many holes in this team that it would almost be counterproductive to draft Dart and surround him with dogshit. Now if he’s there when we pick at 40 hell yes I’m taking him and not thinking twice about it.

Some say teams are looking at his 5 td showdown v Jayden Daniels and drooling - both Jayden and Dart scored 5 tds in a shootout.

Anybody who bases their eval on how a player performed vs the 2023 LSU Defense should lose their job as a scout

I like Dart as much if not more than Shedeur. But I still don’t think either are top 10 picks

You should feel like this:

Jaxson is the logical successor to DC4 as he's the first QB with better drip than Carr

Look how bad the Falcons looked for taking Pennix

One thing I've come to learn about this board over the last nearly 20 years of participating here is that they hate every QB that is available in the draft

I actually think Dart is pretty good. I don’t think he goes at 9.

Same. But I thought Johnny Manziel was pretty good as well.

He’s young enough that I wouldn’t want to play him at all this year.

Hopefully someone wants to jump Chicago or Dallas for Campbell or Jeanty.

Move back 4-6 spots and grab a day 2 pick and Dart.

I would not hate it but...

would rather the stud WR out of Arizona or TE from Penn St

also think Rattler needs a fair shake with competent coaching

FYI Tet doesn’t go until 20 in this mock which seems unlikely

Get Dart, let him learn this year. Cut Carr and move forward with Dart next year and have a QB for cheap for a few years to bring in more players around him. That would at least be a sign that they are trying and not doing the status quo. But does it actually work? Idk, but I’d be good with at least the effort

why did you put that @'s you weirdo? And of course this board loved the two LSU QBs. Thanks for such a compelling rebuttal to my post.

I saw that this morning. I’m not overly excited one way or the other.

Well if Baker can climb from a 2nd round projection two months before draft to #1 overall, Dart could go 9

Hopefully that means we are trading back a few positions and getting an extra 2nd rounder.

We don't do that here. The move is to either trade up a few spots and reach, or use future picks to trade back into the 1st.
