I don’t think he’s as good as Aaron Brooks.

that's just god damn laughable coming to conclusions like that.

I don’t think we’ve even met with Jackson, have we?

Just lazy guessing by McShay. If we reach for a QB, which i doubt, itll be someone to fit Sean’s system. Which is pretty much Mayfield or if one of the top 3 somehow slip to 27. Regardless, I dont see it happening.

So I'm reading all about his stock being on the rise. Guessing he shined at the combine? I know he refused to workout with the recievers.

Did you see what LSU did to him in the bowl game his heisman year?

We likely will only have to see these QB to Saints mocks for one more week. When Drew signs his 2 or 3 year deal, I think the 'prognosticators' will stop giving us a QB.

If saints would take Lamar Jackson as wr or qb in draft, I would ask Sean Payton do you feel bad for the guy not getting drafted? Sean Payton isn't that dumb tho to draft Lamar Jackson. I'd rather draft the cocky oklahoma qb over lamar if He looking btw those two, other than that plenty other qb and other positions need to draft Sean payton a bright guy, he knows talent, he just never looks at Lsu but he knows talent

If we draft this guy I may flip out

Payton would take him at 27 knowing in 2 years he has the ability to be a top 5 type talent.
I think the main thing preventing it is the offense would have to be altered somewhat .
shite he wanted Mahomes last year. Don’t act so shocked

Bill Parcells was the one who pulled the trigger on Pat White

Parcells said selecting Mountaineers option quarterback White with the 44th overall pick in 2009 "was my mistake." He went on to add: "It was a deviation from your principles; he was not prototypical. At the time, we're thinking we could expand the Wildcat, you know. But it turns out he wasn't accurate enough and didn't throw it well enough. We learned from that.''

Completion Percentages last two years in college:
Mahomes
63.5
65.7
Jackson
56.2
59.1
Accuracy is the best measuring stick for future success. LJ was just too inaccurate in college. He's going to need to out-athlete everyone, and those players GENERALLY have a short shelflife.

Just coming in here to post that.
And, if we want a QB if this guy dropped, Mason Rudolph, I wonder of the Saints would pull the trigger.

Bunchie what if I told you Louisville WR dropped 33 passes last year.
Can’t always go blindly off Comp %.
That being said we’ve seen guys like Cam & Vick win games with the help of their legs despite not being the most accurate passer. I think at worst you have a guy that keeps you in most games that way.

I won't be thrilled if we draft him but at the same time I'll give the current scouts the benefit of the doubt on what they see behind closed doors that we do not see. I'll trust an NFL staff to develop in 2-3 years what a shitty college staff could not. I want an immediate play maker in the first round but I'm not going to melt if we take Lamar.

The vast majority of those type of guys shine briefly and then they are done with the quickness.
Cam is HUGE so he's still around...even if he still isn't a great passer.
