Not sure how it showed on TV, but there were plenty of empty seats all around the dome today. Some people alluded to this during the thread on selling tickets to Lions fans, but many of the people that I sit around said that several people they knew couldn't give tickets away.

I said earlier that the Saints have huge sections of tickets that are owned by ticket brokers. This is because they do not have PSLs. If you look on Stubhub it isn't uncommon to see Rows listed with Seats 1-19.

Secondary thing----When the players came out for the pledge a handful of players took the knee prior to the pledge and they received a huge round of boos.

They did stand up for the Pledge which drew claps and cheers.

If they keep playing like they did today, the seats will fill up

It was as full as it usually is for a noon game. It was also louder than it has been for any game in years. The people who were not there were not missed.

My section was packed. I did not see an empty seat today.

That being said the crowd was engaged when game was close

I noticed Lions blue in random shots of the crowd (more than I would have thought) but it definitely seemed louder than it has been lately.

but when you play better and the chips fall your way that's expected of a crowd

Good win for the Saints (especially on Defense)!

Primary thing for me. I still haven't watched and won't watch as long as this crap is allowed. Why does the NFl even have rules if they aren't going to enforce them? It's like America and illegal immigration. Thanks for the update as to what went down.
This year I am 0-2 watching and 3-0 not watching. For your sakes you best hope they keep kneeling.

so before you bitched about them keeling during the anthem and now that they are before the anthem, and standing during - you still have a problem with it?

i thought your entire bitch session was about disrespecting the flag, anthem and veterans - and now that they are not doing it, you still bitch?

seems to me the common denominator in all of it is you.

The ESPN app and the broadcast reported around 87K in attendance...which I believe is 1K over capacity.

Henderson made a comment on it toward the end of the game. Said he wasn't sure if it was due to all the anthem stuff, but said it was noticeably less full than usual.

From what I’ve read, they received boos when they took a knee during a moment of silence for a slain NOPD police officer, who happens to be black BTW.

there were a few more empty seats than usual but it was the loudest crowd in a while. The people that were there were into it. The snowflakes burning their tickets and protesting were not missed.

There were a noticeable number of empty seats, but the crowd was loud throughout.

Yeah, ok......keep thinking that. The numbers from missed concessions and merchandise sales are what tell the story

Yea we had some empty seats up top that are not typically empty. Dome was loud though. Keep playing well and people will keep coming.

From what I could tell most of the lions fans were in the lower bowl. Which means all you rich OT bastards are the ones selling your tickets.

Lions fans tried to go a let's go lions chant going and we shut that down with a who dat chant with the quickness
