Not a good situation. We also have some older players beyond their prime no doubt. Why are we not trading, wheeling and dealing players to get in better cap space?

No one wants old overpaid veterans that are past their prime.

I love how some people think teams are lining up to offer us a 3rd for Cam Jordan and that contract. We probably have at least 5 players that due to age and. contract (Carr, Jordan, Hill, Latt, Davis, maybe AK) are untradable.

Horribly mismanaged franchise.

Except the one team who keeps extending them

We have a few players worth value. Kamara was one of them unfortunately. Hate to lose him. Signed a 2 year contract. It will be ugly to trade away good players but that’s the situation we are in.

Carr may be a tradeable option. Considering the qb situation around the league. Latt is tradeable. Davis is still playing well.

Jordan shouldn’t be in the league. Way past his prime.

Good thread. I don’t think this has been covered before.

Most of our veterans don’t have tradeable contracts on our side. There would be too much accelerated money. The list was basically Alvin and Latt, and with Alvin’s extension, it’s just Latt.

Latt has been playing very good. No doubt he has value on the field. It’s his contract other teams don’t want.

I woukd say Adebo would have been the best trade able asset for value. Hes a good player on a rookie deal. But that’s gone with the injury.

Now I’d try to trade Chase young. On a one year deal, would get cap savings and some value back. Especially if we lose this weekend. That’s yo deep a hole.

I agree Carr could POSSIBLY be a tradeable asset (someone more versed in contracts could confirm), but based on play…..he could be. Despite what our moronic fanbase espouses, he has played well since he has arrived here. He is what we thought he was, a solid (not great) QB. There is a market for that when there are injuries at the position.

In terms of acquiring picks…..Olave is probably best trade asset we have. Especially considering that he will want WR1 money….and we should NOT give him that. IMO he is a great WR2 but he is not a 1

Olave fetches a 3nd with incentives to a 2nd at best considering the 4 concussions. That might be a stretch be a round.

I'm never one to talk about tanking this early in the season, but this is the season to bottom out in

Brutal reality is that it very well will impact our coaching search once DA is fired.

Getting those top guys here may be a stretch for all the reasons discussed here.

Not since the year started. Have to remember, Loomis reworked Latt's deal last offseason to get us under the cap, and to potentially trade Latt before the start of this season. They moved a large chunk of his salary into a bonus (roster bonus?) that was paid in late August. There was a window between 6/01 and 2 weeks before the season started where Latt was tradeable. Now that he has received that bonus, if the team trades him his 2025 cap hit slightly increases by $250k.

He won't be tradeable until the beginning of next season, assuming they don't rework his deal again for cap reasons.

You think Olave gets the same value as Davante Adams?

Buy hey! Loomis thinks we're still in the championship window! No need for a rebuild.
