I love T-Rex, but he has all of the makings of a colossal FA bust. One hit wonder and one dimensional player. His motor is amazing, but when teams spend the whole game running at him and chipping him, his sack totals are going to be rough for what they are paying him.

I wouldn’t pay $15 mil for him either but I would pay $10 million. He’s been a solid rotation piece up to this year when he broke out. It’s no coincidence the year he broke out is the year he went from getting pushed around at 260 to being able to hold his ground better at around 275. He’s going to be a good player for whoever gets him and if he plays 75% to what he did in 2020 then $15 mil per is a steal.

This is a stupid take. He may not be great against the rush but he is a very good pass rusher and has developed every year. He had at least 2-3 sacks that he earned this year negated by stupid penalties in the secondary. He could have easily led the league this year. Him being injured in the playoffs was a big reason we lost to the Bucs. No one else was getting pressure.
He may not live up to the contract but that’s what it takes for the Jets to sign players. One thing for sure if he turns into a bust it won’t be for lack of hustle with him....

Jets may have just landed the steal of free agency signing Carl Lawson to a 3 year $45 million deal. He’s going to blow up with starter snaps as a traditional 4-3 DE like he played at Auburn. He was unblockable in college and should have been a top 15 pick if not for his medicals.
