There are a bunch of scouts at a pro day, each one surely gets a different hand time

quote:

The NFL’s draft advisory board recommended Humphrey stay in school. But he simply felt ready to go after his prolific junior season and said it hurt to tell his teammates he was declaring. At the combine, his 4.75 40-yard dash was the slowest among all receivers who ran. Humphrey ran in the 4.6s on Wednesday. He knows he needs to get faster. He hopes his tape still speaks for itself, but that 40 time has made this process tougher than he expected.

he might do a decent jimmy graham impersonation, but he won't make it as a traditional wr. could be the second coming of boo williams.

Lol he can in no way impersonate JG. The guy ran a 4.5 40 at the combine. Best out of all the TE.

can he be a gadget player? RB, H-back, TE, slot, outside WR, etc?

i think it's possible that if he gets a year on the PS and puts on a little weight he can be a gadget guy

having a 6-4 3rd down back would be crazy

Michael Lombardi brought him up on his podcast today. Said "he's Colston" as long as he shows any quickness.

sure he can. it's his only chance. graham also had a hard time with separation. not really a 4.5 guy either. just developed chemistry with drew and won jump balls with an insanely accurate qb. jg was fast for a te, but wasn't a speed threat against nfl dbs.

fricking nitwit.

So basically, can he develop into Taysom Hill’s replacement?

that's who i was thinking of. he does run well (just not fast) and if he gets to 235-240 without losing too much speed/jumping he could be a receiving TE. that means we could move him around

obviously this is a super long shot just spitballing

Ya Hill is a 4.4 guy with a 38.5" vert who can squat 625 lbs He's all power and speed

If LJH can succeed anywhere though, it's here.

Heard this interview with the guy who trained him yesterday: LINK

Margin Hooks trained Lil'Jordan, here's the highlights of what he said:
- physical kid who can run down on kickoffs, return kickoffs, can run out of the backfield, can run the wildcat, in addition to catching
- has a good shot to make the team bc of his versatility, could play flex tight end if he puts on weight
- says he could be a Taysom Hill type player, can play multiple positions

I know you're spitballing, but LJH's testing would not have been good even for a TE. And he performed at 210 lb.

Our damn 303 lb center Erik McCoy ran 4.89 and a 4.62 20 yard with a 31" vert
