Consensus #1 TE in the 2018 Draft by a few evaluators.

Seems a little slow, but catches balls like 2011 Jimmy G and 2017 Gronk.

I have a hard time really evaluating this guy because he's from South Dakota State.

What do you guys think?

He looks good. Have to wait to see what he does at the combine or at Mobile and his proday...He could blow up on draft boards.

This. IMO we desperately need a legit TE. The greatest Saints offenses were so special largely because our past TEs were straight beasts, both making plays and creating opportunities for other guys to flourish. Get one this offseason and our 3rd down woes should be fixed.

Yep we were even alright with Ben Watson cause he could run the seam.
I hated the day they signed fleener and I like the kid from Penn State but he s not a first rounder

I didn't know he was rated that high. Highest I saw was 2nd-3rd round draft grades and was hoping we could get him in the 3rd.

Agreed. This seems to be the draft where we can get back to having a real TE. Goedert, Andrews, Fumagali, and the PSU guy all come to mind. Having a second round pick would be perfect to snag one then, but depending on how things pan out I wouldn't complain if that's how we spent our first.

We have no 2nd RD pick, i cant see us taking a WR or TE with the first pick.

Dude looks like a Kelce clone. A little more nimble than JG with better hands.

I've heard that comparison a few times now.

I guess we will find out real fast how he does against equal talent at the Senior Bowl.

edit: Speaking of Senior Bowl. Kinda sucks this guy wont have Baker throwing him the ball but Fumagali will lol.

The guy was on Daniel Jeremiah's podcast a few months ago. Really bright guy. I could see him being a mid 2nd round pick but since we don't have a spot there I'm not too sure.

If we were gonna take a TE at 27 I think I'd rather have Andrews.

I'd honestly wish we'd just go after Graham, Brate or Sefarian-Jenkins in FA

We are a few good pieces on defense away from having a top 10 maybe even top 5 unit. We get a stone cold killer at LB and another safety that's better than Bell we are set

He loks good on video but I only question the caliber of his opponents. I'd like to see him against quality D's.
