Jordy Nelson visiting New Orleans
Jordy will be hurt by week 5. Book it.
We don't need him. We need a TE.

I'm guessing he's searching for a 2 year deal somewhere between 14-16mill. Just a wild guess.

Is he an upgrade over Snead and our current TEs? Then yeah, we need him.

You millenials don't even know about the Mike Hass pain train:

He would kill it out of the slot. We don't need him to be a primary threat. Mike Thomas is our go to guy and Ginn can still stretch the field

if at a good price for a year or 2, sure
he is the same age as Ginn and he was a great surprise this year.

He's actually a perfect compliment to those guys.

Nelson's spilts w/ 7 games of Rodgers (238 total pass attempts). Hundley started 9 games w/ 318 attempts
21 first downs on 23 completions
6 TDs in 7 games
Nelson aint prime Nelson, but he's usable. He's going to need an accurate QB to put balls on him
I would hard pass if this is the case

I think we might have one of those...

Ill put my balls on him

Right. His time as a number 1 outside WR is over but he’s def useful gyno

Same here, I'm just stating what I think he's likely looking for. Truly a wild guess.

Indeed. He's very effective working out of the slot. If the Saints were on board with using big=bodied JG to work out of the slot when necessary and be effective in the RZ, then Jordy gives you something similar.
Yes, he's lost his deep speed, but that's not what the Saints need out of him. He's a great locker-room guy who'd fit well with our team in that sense as well.
Unless he's looking for a monster deal, let's lock him up (if he gets out of Oakland, of course).

Steve Smith signed with Baltimore for 3/$10.5M in 2014 at age 34
Nelson will turn 33 in May. I think that’ll be a more likely comp.

He’ll bring his lunch pail to work everyday and learn the playbook fast. Did I do that right?

We just tendered Snead. Word on the street is he battled thru issues (Payton's doghouse) and then injuries all of last season, and he is expected to return to form this season. Hence, the tender.
Assuming Snead is Snead again, we have the slot covered. For pennies on the dollar, no less. Now you're proposing to pay big money (that we wouldn't give to Graham) to an aging receiver who was just cut by his team and would have to convert to a different position while learning a new system.
He ISN'T an upgrade. He's a liability.
We need a TE.
