He's 33 and had a bigger contract and the team is rebuilding for the future

The correct answer is because he's not a "very, very good WR"

So, what do you think he could do with Brees and that offense with the support of a running game?
He's a shell of his former peak play, so not nearly as much as his GB days.

Same reason 99% of the very good players hit free agency.
And he's not very good, there's that too.

So he was like Colston?
Yes, he WAS like Colston. He's no longer like Colston or the 5 years ago version of himself.

For the record, at the right....cheap price he could provide some value, I'm not saying he's completely done. I'm just saying many are super excited and acting like he hasn't lost a step when he's lost a few steps. If he can come in and just be decent, I'd take it.

Two years ago he was 6th in receiving yards and 1st in receiving TDs. Last year pre-Hundley he had 6 touchdowns in 5 games. So WTF you talking about Willis

7 games, 26 catches, 303 yards....with Aaron Rodgers the greatest QB ever throwing passes.

Another year older...old

Not worth 2 years/$15mil with $13mil guaranteed. No thanks.

bullshite. He would be able to get open on 3rd down in this offense. He would be a much better version of Snead. I'd love to have been able to have that on this team.

With Rodgers throwing him the ball last season, he averaged less than 4 catches for about 40-45 yards per game. So....is that awesome?

Depends on which Snead. Last year's Snead was pretty worthless. 2 years ago of Snead is better than Nelson is right now, then throw in the value difference, not even close.

50 catches for, what 5 or 600 yards last season. VERY GOOD!!!

By signing with the Raiders he's clearly choosing money over winning. Nelson knows he's at the end of his career and wanted to squeeze every nickel and dime possible out of a team.

Can't really blame him. Although curious how close the Saints offer was to the Raiders offer (considering he's gonna pay 8-10% more in taxes for playing/living in Oakland)
