Based on how he’s tweeting seems like he wants to be released

It would be a 1.5 mil cap hit compared to like 15 mil if he’s retained. Would be a great get for our WR room. He already has a relationship with MT.

Was just coming here to post this. Don't know much about his contract situation and was curious if we could afford him.

He will be a FA if he gets cut, which is likely
Article about cap situation
We are in a way better cap spot than last year, so it’s certainly possible.

I wouldn't give him big money.
I'd rather draft a young wide receiver.

NO has other players we need to worry about retaining before bringing in new WRs.

I am pretty sure he will want to play for a QB better than Baker.
Would be a great #2 tho.

I agree, probably a longshot. I think he goes the Odell route and takes less money to go be a #2 on a Super Bowl contender.

He'd fit perfectly in KC or Buffalo

This is one of those situations where it would be nice if the league worked like Madden
Browns considering cutting Landry and getting nothing in return, throw them a 7th rounder with an additional conditional 2023 6th round pick if he stays with the team after 2022 (resign or extend). ML can then give him an extension to spread his $14M base and lock him up for another 3 years

Are you trying to say "one year prove it deal" without sounding cliche?

Even if you do draft a young guy, do you really want MT to be the most experienced vet in that room? He's a great talent but I'm not sure if I'd want him to be anyone's mentor. Juice is perfect for that role. Work out of the slot. Catch 60-70 balls a year EASY and show the young guys what it looks like to grind.

Seems a bit redundant with MT
Are you implying that's a bad thing? Have 2 guys that can keep moving the chains and make the sure catch. Harris can stretch it from the slot to take the top off (would be nice to have a complement to Harris). Vannett/Trautman, Johnson can work the middle seems. And AK comes out of the back field.
And you still have Calloway catching mismatches when he does get in the game because the defense has to focus on MT and JL

Signing Landry and drafting Olave/Burks would be tremendous

The Saints actually have a chance to go out and get him now that LSU hater Sean Payton is gone

We haven't had a legit slot receiver in a while. I'm in for the right price.

Our WR group as a whole has been a dumpster fire for the last 4 years. It should be top priority
