Are you trying to say "one year prove it deal" without sounding cliche?
No. He just isn't worth big money. He was making like 14 or 15 mil and isn't worth anywhere close to that.

Not worth it, he’s a #2 or 3 guy at best, and he’s older.
He's an excellent possession receiver who catches anything that comes near him. He has never been a down the field burner type, which means he has a very similar skill set to Michael Thomas, but doesn't miss nearly as much time due to injuries. He's absolutely deadly on crossing routes and slants. His biggest problem has been playing for absolute dogshit QB's his entire career.

I am pretty sure he will want to play for a QB better than Baker.
As it stands now, we don't have a QB that's better than Baker

He has missed plenty of time due to injuries.
I like jarvis as a tough receiver but it would have to be a cheaper contract. He has had plenty of injuries.

Not saying it’s a bad thing. I think we need more field-stretchers than possession receivers. But I think given the salary cap situation, it makes much more sense to invest in a WR though the draft.

I think they will bring in at least 2 receivers through the draft and free agency.
You need to hit receiver from both angles. You have to get a difference maker at receiver early in the draft.
In free agency you bring in a vet but i don't see that player being jarvis landry.

Would be a great get for our WR room. He already has a relationship with MT.
Maybe. Although he'd do a lot of the same thing MT does. We need more dynamic players at this point.

NO has other players we need to worry about retaining before bringing in new WRs.
The days of Drew making a bunch of scrap heap receivers look serviceable are over. They currently look like a bunch of scrap heap (or worse) receivers. We need several.

obviously

Seems a bit redundant with MT
Couldn’t disagree more. They play wildly different roles. MT is a stud #1 guy who can catch fades, slants and posts when matched up 1v1. Jarvis is more of a possession guy who runs crisp routes. Not a direct comparison but think Colston and Moore

Juice and MT would soften defenses underneath. Alvin would be more dangerous out of the backfield (if playing) could help Harris break out as a deep threat.
Then just draft another speedster, keep trequan or callaway as the 4 and that’s a solid WR room

He’s to similar to MT. We need a game breaker type at #2.

I would settle for someone who can get open
Harris/Harty looked like an all-world WR compared to the rest of our guys last year

Between CGM and Juice, we might be 10 games into the season before we ever saw a dropped pass...

Him and MT would be fist fighting over the slant! That’s MT bread and butter

he is fearless about catching ball in traffic and middle of the field and catching the ball on 3rd down for a first
