His overall play has dipped since Dallas. Idk if he’s hurt or tired or just feeling the effects since he’s 40.

But he hasn’t played like mid season Drew in a while. We could use that Sunday. A second half Minnesota type performance from him. In that 2nd half he was on fricking fire. We desperately need that

The timing was off w/ Ginn to start the game. The ball only went like 35-40 yards, it's not like he gave it everything he had. We know Drew can still throw further than that.

Disagree, respectfully. Cox was in his face and he gator armed it, so it came up short. Id rather a pic than him break a finger following through on his throwing hand.

It’s sad that we waited until he was 40 to start assembling these types of teams again

Either way, I was just disputing the fact that he was saying it got picked b/c Brees no longer had the strength to go long.

Drew said it was a timing issue. Do you really think he can't throw a pass over 40 yards? He over three Thomas a few plays later that was 50 yards. I'll take number 9 leading this team any day. When he is done you will be the guy that comments about how the next qb can't make the throws Brees did but has a cannon for an arm.

He’s still as good as ever inside of 35-40 yards. I think Sean knows now not to call many deep balls with Drew throwing. It’s something they can work around. We may see Teddy or Taysom throw some bombs. The Saints will be fine.

That dude is a damn fool or a fricking idiot, I can’t decide. Since I can’t decide if he’s a fool or idiot, I will settle with him being just stupid.

Did you miss where the Saints lost a head coach for an entire year, the defensive coordinator, several coordinators for half a year, had fines, and lost significant draft picks right when Brees was in his prime?

Goodell hamstrung the franchise for years with that ruling. We're lucky the Saints didn't collapse and become Saints of old.

He made so many clutch throws and reads in that game. He stepped up in the pocket, converted several 3rd and longs as a result of the run game struggling. Did the same thing in the Steelers game. His mind is as sharp as ever and his accuracy is still incredible. The completion to Ginn I think it was down around the 20 where he got popped as he released it was beautiful.

It's probably a fair assessment that he has lost some arm strength on the deep balls but the man is 40 fricking years old and was never great on account of his arm strength to begin with. Him and Thomas were the reasons we won that game.

You can find quarterbacks with arm strength all day. They can't don half the things Brees does. He is every bit as good as he was in previous years with the exception of a little less arm strength on deep throws. This is plainly evident by his efficiency numbers. Also, he is the sole competitor with Maholmes for MVP and Maholmes is having an absolutely ridiculous season.

To the Op. Other than a younger Drew, who would you want to lead this team other than the current Drew Brees?
