Obviously these other QBs have a longer track record and so if you’re arguing with a fan of another team it’s hard to advocate for Shough over let’s say Bo Nix or Jalen Hurts. But there isn’t a doubt in my mind shough is better than both.
If I’m being honest as to who I think he is at least as good as, when factoring in supporting cast (particularly coaching and scheme, as guys like Lawrence and Stafford, Darnold etc have way better offensive play callers), I agree with everyone you put and I’d add Darnold, Maye, Hurts, Lawrence Mayfield.
I’d only have Allen/Stafford/Burrow/Mahomes/Lamar as clearly ahead of him.
And if if the question is who do you want as your QB for the next five years…could have some irresponsible conversations considering everyone on that list is 30 (or turning 30 this year).

Purdy has Kyle Shanahan. Disqualifies him from any top qb list. Impossible to separate from how good Shanny is.

I don't think shough is better than Dak as of now.
Shough has a lot less to work with than these other qbs. Just think if he had Pickens and lamb.

If Shough ends up as good as Dak then we're going to do well, and Dak probably never was in the top 5 except for a few outlier seasons of his career.
