I saw a lot of problems today, including our HC. Shough was not one of them. He may or may not be the future but it’s hard to judge considering we have two other talented players on offense around him: Banks and Olave.

Makeshift OL that only had three good starters to begin with (Banks, McCoy and Fuaga) and two of them are hurt. And we probably have the worst offensive skill group in the National Football League.

He is a bright spot so far. If he becomes a franchise QB it will be in spite of our idiot HC.

I think the problem is we didn’t get a full evaluation because of Moore.

I wasn't sold on Moore pretty early and nothing has changed my mind.

He looks like he can Sling it. He is decisive and making good decisions.

I dont think hes getting much help from KM`s play calling, Specifically Redzone Playcalling.
I dont think hes getting much help from his WRs. But you can see a differnce between him and Rattler.
He has a quick release and been accurate.
He is getting better.

Sough needs to be there in the redzone. Pulling him for Taysom is stupid against a team that Tees off on Taysom. Sough needs the reps.
You dont do that to a developing QB. Who`s strength is Accuracy.

I liked how he called games but it does appear it’s because he had good talent everywhere he went as opposed to elevating an offense devoid of talent. He might be a Josh McDaniels type. But I’m ok with swinging and missing on an offensive minded guy. I still believe it’s the way to go as far as building a future

Hard to say when Moore brings in Taysom for two yard runs in key downs
i actually thinks that says it all in why Shough isnt the future franchise QB. why take the ball out of what is supposed to be the guy aka the franchise QB's hands?

The QB of the future is not on the roster atm.

but when they draft Diego Pavia. look out

Unlikely but you need more time to figure it out.

All of this, but especially the bold. This is what I (and others) kept saying since the pre-season. But the Rattler fanboys were too emotional to see. The difference in upside was ALWAYS vast. In a lot of ways, I like Moore…..but one problem he has is that he is too fricking nice.

All he did by giving Rattler his shot…..was delay Shough’s on field development. He continues to do similar shite by taking Shough out in the fricking redzone. He is coaching scared.

Same thing with not cutting Grupe loose as of yet.

I wouldnt mind him getting some players around him and see what happens. Hes playing pretty well so far with no true #1 WR and little help elsewhere.

This is more of an indictment on Moore than Shough. If you draft a QB at 40 (with him being “the guy” in mind), and are evaluating him……..you should be giving him those reps in the redzone. ESPECIALLY in a lost season.

Moore is coaching like a pussy that doesn’t want to offend people or make mistakes. Be aggressive, the season is lost anyway. Give Shough the experience

Except he didn’t suck. The Oline and cute play calling is what sucked. You watched the game, yeah?

Too early to tell but I think he would do fine with some receivers and an offensive line.

one of the worst supporting casts in the league

We may have the least talented team in the league. Even the Jets have a few elite talents l.

As an aside, KM may end up a failure, but boy did dodge the Aaron Glenn bullet!

I want to see a few more games before making a call on Shough. He has some grit to his play and is more mobile than he looks. Arm talent wise he can make all the throws he just needs good players around him.
