Inability to run the ball at all is a direct indictment on Moore

Running the ball is blocking and scheme. The OL isn’t great, we know that. But what’s the scheme? Are we an outside zone team? Inside zone? I formation with a fullback?

There’s no plan. Frustrating.

Yep, it’s why he needs to be fired. You can’t waste Tyler’s entire rookie contract like this

Scheme is shotgun with no play action, inside handoff up the gut for 1 yard. Quick passes to the flat. Run it on first down every chance you get.

We’ve invested entirely too much on the o line to be this bad at running the ball.

There’s obviously a scheme issue which is on Moore. I know he inherited a mess, but this is a disaster.

Doesn't matter the seam when you can’t run block.

He calls running plays that run directly into blitzing safeties and backers before a block can even be had. It’s scheme and on him.

This game could not have been more clear the issue is not actual blocking. The Steelers had three guys coming untouched every run play. And it wasn’t whiffed blocks or miscommunication by blockers, they just knew exactly when where and how we were going to run the ball and overloaded that area with defenders.

Edwards, McCoy and Fuaga are not terrible players. Maybe they’re underperforming, hurt, washed, whatever. They are not bad though.

The offense is short gain, negative play, then Shough bail out to Olave or Vele. It’s not sustainable.

Kubiak schemed a good run game with a trash team. I agree, it’s scheme

Even the interception. Yeah it was a bad throw by Shough but eventually that’s going to happen when the only plays are to the boundaries of the field. They’re going to eventually pounce on one of those out routes. Because you have no run game or play design to manipulate linebackers and create space over the middle.

And because you have no run game the d-line can tee off every play which also hurts over the middle routes as those are longer developing.

Did we hire a HC with consideration of our personnel (the question of it the personnel sucks is another issue)? Did we already know Moore was a spineless pussy?

Moore is just a symptom of the root issue

Hard to judge whether our personnel fits the system when I don’t know what the system is

We hired the last respectable option after it became apparent that no big names would coach here. Choices were Moore or a special teams coordinator. Literally. Enjoy the blame game, but if it’s not evident who the problem is based on 2 actively failing franchises then I’ll assume the game is reserved for the clinically insane.

Moore is a coach who probably wasn’t ready to be a HC, but bet on himself & took the opportunity presented like any of us would. And now he’ll be a sacrificial lamb. Prime Bill (Walsh, Parcells, Belichick or Clinton take your pick) couldn’t win in 1.3 years with this roster or cap space.

I get it, but Shough alone raises the quality of who is "gettable" now. She won't do it, but Gayle should go hard after Tomlin. I wouldn't trust her to hire a new GM, so let Tomlin choose one (maybe get some feedback from Brees if Tomlin is OK with that). I know that a coach choosing a GM is backwards, but I don't give a shite.
