If past is any indication, Thomas is gone

If past behavior is an indication I think that was Thomas’ last game for us. We sold high on jimmy graham when he started having attitude issues and same w Cooks. Some idiot will give us 2 firsts for him and realize later he is a system guy that can be schemed out of a playoff game. He has had a terribly unprofessional year and we can replicate his 0 catches much more efficiently.
Will also help with Salary cap situation greatly.
I also think Sean knew what he was doing when he said “we can’t win it all without MT.” He is trying to drive his trade value up.

We could not win it all because Drew Brees cannot make players better anymore. Saints needed all hands on deck just to have a small chance. But our old QB cratered finally. Is what it is. I'll say this imagine MT with an actual QB? We could have that. We should keep him.

I don't agree with your assessment of Thomas. He was hurt this season so it's easy to forget how amazing he was the previous season (I guess)... people were saying the same about AK last year when he was hurt and we all saw how that turned out. Thomas will be back to his old self next season

Thomas and 1st to Houston for Watson!

Can the narrative that MT13 has "attitude issues" die? There is 0 indication that he is a bad teammate. He punched CGJ but so do a lot of people. Jimmy Graham was a diva causing issues because he wanted to be paid like a top WR, and that whole locker room was toxic at the time.
MT13 is still one of the best WR's in the NFL. His catch radius is insane, and he runs exceptional routes. Getting rid of MT13 creates massive issues as we are very streaky at WR after him. I love Callaway but he is still a rookie who hurt a lot and hasn't shown consistency, Sanders is getting old and isn't a #1 guy, Trequan disappears for stretches, and Harris gets hurt a ton and is more of a gadget anyway.

I'm feeling generous. I'll even throw in perennial Pro Bowler Andrus Peat!

Brees didn't have the arm strength to get it to him any other way.

I think people don't understand that if a player returns from injury, especially one that requires him to sit out games, he's not going to be the same player he was before the injury.
Late in the season, players coming back off of IR and playing are basically not healed, they are just ok enough in order to play.
It takes an offseason to fully heal. We saw that with Kamara. We will see that with MT.

The salary cap is a factor, but for the team, he has become a locker room cancer. Find his reply to Watson post wanting out of Houston. Get what you can for him & move on. The good college teams are developing great WR talent in the RPO era.

Its not because we had a HOF QB in the past. But considering the cost cutting needed I wouldn't be surprised by any well compensated player being traded or cut except AK and Demario.

MT just sucks as a person.

You blast your HOF QB for saying he defends the American flag. Because that's apparently racist....
And there's no indication he's a bad teammate? GTFO

I remember folks saying the same thing about Kamara after last year and during his contract negotiations this season

He has incredible hands, but he got absolutely no separation yesterday. None. He either isn't even close to 100%, or he's not worth his contract. If it's the latter, trade him. The Saints winning formula certainly isn't based on big money contracts for WRs anyway. We have to keep both of our lines strong.
