Taysom has now been behind Teddy Bridgewater and Chase Daniel for 3 full years.

its cute you think that's cute.

IT was his first 3 years in the league coming from a college football program that didn't utilize this type of offensive attack as well a college career riddled with injuries. Taysom came into the league a very raw athletic prospect.

I don't like Rivers; I think he's a whiny bitch. If you think he is not good though you are wrong. He played behind one of the worst OLs in the league, and just a year before he had a very good season. Out of the available QBs in FA this year, he is clearly the best of the bunch.

A year ago, I would have agreed with you. And he’d probably be better on the Saints than the Chargers. But remember, they were 12-4 a year ago, so it’s not like they have no talent.

QBs fall of fast when they fall off. And Rivers is this year was going over the cliff. He made some super dumb throws and just didn’t have it this year. And I doubt he all of a sudden becomes a game manager like Peyton did at the end of his career. I think he’s a gunslinger type of QB that time has caught up to.

Winston

He's wild but he did throw for over 5000 yards last season. There is a lot of potential upside....and criminal exposure

from what i can tell by otc calculator, this doesn't appear likely at all.

trade would be way more likely.

I'd hand the keys to either Bridgewater or Taysom wayyyy before I pay Winston anything above about $4M a year, let alone $20+ like he's looking for

You rather pay Teddy 25 mill ish starting money over a 2-3 yr commitment than riding with Taysom on a probable 1 yr RFA deal and see how he does full time?

Yep because Teddy has proven he can lead this team. This team is built to win now, save for adding a @2 WR and tweaking a few positions.

If possible 1st rd found tender Taysom and hope you can bring him back to fill the same role.

fwiw I don't think anyone's paying TB5 25 mil/yr. 18-21 mill is more like it but I'd pay him the 25 if that what it took.

Screw rolling the dice and hope it pans out. this team has far too much talent for that.

Would rather give up the farm and go get Burrow than be saddled with any of those qb’s.

Fixed it.

Or maybe it’s cute because it’s true. Don’t get me wrong. I love Hill for what he is. However, I prefer to use my head instead of my heart when giving my opinion. And my head says that a third string QB/gadget player who’s thrown about a dozen passes in his professional career is not our best option to relieve Brees.

1. Keep Teddy and Taysom
2. Trade the farm for Burrow
3. Rivers
4. Trade a little less of the farm for Tua
5. Tank for Trevor

I like the way you think. Pick up Winston for a year, and he will for sure only give us 1 win. Get the number 1 or 2 pick in the draft next year. Drop Winston so another team can tank for a high draft pick the following year.

ETA. I think Winston is the best of the bunch,

He is undoubtedly the of that group in terms of physical talent, its his decision making (both on and off the field) that make him a difficult take.

but I just don’t trust him to come around and fully develop.

I agree for the reasons I stated, don't trust his decision making in any aspect of his life..
