re: How much of the fanbase would be pissed if we didn’t get a WR in round 1?

They might have 25-30 WR go in the first 3rds. It’s loaded. They should absolutely wait until the 2nd or 3rd
I’ve seen several evaluators saying the talent drops off pretty hard after the first 11-13 WRs.
I’m just sick at the idea of doing another Nick Toon or TQS in the third round. Get a REAL fricking WR who can be an impact player.

Brees with interior pressure was fricked. Even if you had elite guys catching, not being able to step up into the pocket caused problems.

As long as it's not ANOTHER defensive end. Do something different.

Most of the people on this board want the saints to take a WR in the first round.
There have been plenty of post saying we only need one more WR and should be fine. Our WRs were the worst in the league last year and there are no guarantees Thomas comes back to his previous level after being out nearly 2 years.

Did you see our WR's this past year without MT? Melting would be understood.

Michael Thomas was a second round pick.

I think most RATIONAL fans would be ok with it as long as the need is addressed in the second or third round or through a quality FA like Landry.
I’m honestly not as impressed with the WR group outside of Wilson, London and Jameson. I’m not as sold on Olave or Burks. And I’d rather they just draft BPA anyway.

WR is very deep this draft
This seems to get posted in drafts past and we either draft a 7th rounder or sign UDFAs.

Not really, I’ve seen just as many that want to repeatedly “build from the inside out.”
Well we have two firsts. So drafting a tackle and receiver is possible.

We say this every year and we still end up with Walmart tire center employees playing WR.
