i find it unreasonable he'd be available at our pick assuming we don't move up.

Accuracy sucks, look how much of that bottle he hit. Only looks cool because his buddy has a firm grip. If the bottle was on a table, the cap probably doesn't move. It's a stretch, but it's all I have right now. I don't know much about him other than he's supposed to be the best QB prospect this year; however, it is supposed to be a week class where you are looking at middle of the road guys or backups.

My biggest concerns with drafting a QB right now is you would essentially be drafting in desperation mode. You are going for a need, and if you miss you are sunk. Because Hill is the only QB on the roster, you have to invest in someone before the draft to make sure you have a legitimate QB going into the season. I don't see it as a smart move to make an investment in a FA QB, then turn around and use your top pick on a QB (if he happens to be available). If you are targeting Pickett, but he gets grabbed do you go ahead and take Corral, or reach for another QB that happens to be there if Corral is also gone?

He’s the only one I’d be interested in drafting this year, and even then I’m skeptical. Regardless, I doubt he’s there by our pick

not like we have a choice at this point, you get te best help through FA QB that you can and you draft the best QB available you can get.

i just hope that now with payton gone that we can stop giving up several of our draft picks just to move up a few spots and take often injured prospect players that are pure over reaches

I wonder if the project players were Payton's call or purely Loomis/Ireland decision

FA QB would be ideal but if you have to draft I'd rather others over Pickett

Draft Pickett and resign Jameis for cheap, if possible.

I love Pickett, but losing CSP not sure I want a rookie QB this season now.

I’m still all in on wide receiver and giving Winston another go. Plus I think Pittsburgh would try to jump us for Pickett.

Feels like Pickett is the guy who is going to get propped up by all the experts this offseason... by the time the draft rolls around, everyone will have talked themselves into believing he's THE guy... maybe he is, I dunno, but the dominoes are already falling in such a way that he feels like he'll be out of reach for us.

I think Jamis will succeed under Carmichael's system with more targets besides just Michael Thomas. Draft Treylon Burks or Jameson Williams in the first and the starting WRs can be Thomas, Calloway and Burks or Williams. That would be a solid WR core. Thomas can continue to do what he does best in the short to mid-range and use Burks or Williams to take the top off. With a WR like Burks or Williams on the team coupled with Harris you can always have a WR that is a deep threat. Safeties will have to respect that and IMO can help Jamis bigly.

All of my thoughts exactly.

I think Winston is the best FA QB available. I’d trade reasonable draft picks for Rodgers, Watson, Wilson or Carr. But signing Winston is probably the better value as those guys will just cost too much to acquire.

If he’s there at 18 take him, but don’t throw in the kitchen sink for him.
