Makes sense considering that Glenn gets to pick his GM for the Jets now…

There's a big difference between getting input on an open position and telling them to fire someone on hand, especially someone in on the process of hiring you.

Glenn wanted Lance Newmark to be the GM, it was reported as all but done.. the. woody Johnson reopened the search and started a 2nd round of interviews

Folks are acting like some stable, well run org stole a coach out from under us

That source is suspect . I do agree with the topic but doubt this is real

If this is true….

It shows Glenn knew he had no chance to be successful with Loomis on the front office….

A sign of true intelligence.

Tigerbait, take note, yet another person smarter than you. :)

However, Glenn requested that the team consider moving on from Mickey Loomis as General Manager and allow him to be involved in the hiring of a new GM.

No thank you! lol, even though I want Loomis gone, Glenn should not get any input into the next hire.

No way this is accurate.

It's not.

X is like Wikipedia. People just type up anything they want and it's up to the readers to fact check and/or decide to believe the author.

Such is life, most people will believe whatever supports their narrative regardless of accuracy.

If any of that is true, it makes me like Glenn a lot more, but it's also a sign that he may be a bit stupid.

Loomis may be RG compromised. He may have had a strong hand in bringing Malcolm Jenkins back to New Orleans for the 2020-2021 season.

Brees was the league high profile face against kneeling for the National Anthem. RG needed Brees to stop for PR purposes.

Loomis and CSP bring in a Philadelphia BLM activist in Malcolm Jenkins. Jenkins proceeds to destroy Brees for being inherently racist and turns the team against Drew.

Loomis and CSP did nothing to protect Brees. CSP gets traded, Drew retires, and Loomis is untouchable now. All parties but Brees get their wishes granted. Brees was a stupid pawn.

I wouldn't be surprised, especially considering he was choosing between a job where he could have input with a new GM vs a GM that he has been in the building with.

No one wants to come knowing Mickey will keep kicking the can down the road. Hire Brady and commit to the rebuild.

Did he allegedly do this during a Skype interview with Loomis himself, because he never actually made it down to NOLA to meet with the rest of the front office, Dennis L, Gayle, the board… It’s possible the NYJ offered him the role and opportunity to bring in his guy as GM and Glenn knew he didn’t have that shot here.

If this guy wanted to be legitimate with his BS sources, he could have said Glenn wanted full control of his staff but Loomis insisted on keeping some of the current staff

You mean the person who interviewed him and scheduled a second. To whom would he have had to make that request?

Here is a more likely scenario that someone may have couched in the way that tard did.

Interviewer: Coach, why did you choose the Jets over the Saints?

Glenn: A major factor is the fact that they are in the process of hiring a new GM and they have agreed to allow me to have input on the decision. That was not the situation in New Orleans.

Or the whole thing is BS spouted by someone trying to get clicks.

Or it is true, which means Glenn is under the delusion that teams should treat him like he an established head coach with a great track record.

Nick Underhill gets paid to report in a positive fashion.

The New Orleans Media Market is ran like a mafia when it comes to access to both the Pelicans and the Saints

Brady is going to have the same request of no Mickey to take the job. The word is out in NFL circles the job is toxic and a death wish.

This is looking like Rizzi’s job to lose.

Apparently it's very difficult because you missed on everything you just said.

You guys keep spinning this story up in your heads and pretty soon you'll have yourselves believing Loomis is the NFL commissioner.

A GM that does whatever his coaches ask? Ok. We got into a lot of this stupid spending because of our last two coaches. Loomis is not a football guy. That’s why they brought in Ireland to help Payton.
