and what about 2013, possibly the best Saints team ever.

Man I'd love to bring Jimmy back. Tell me the rest of this off-season wouldn't be a total blast imagining what he'll do in the red zone with Brees slinging it to him again. I just figure we're not going to win a bidding war with GB (and maybe we shouldn't really want to), but who knows?

i support

even at $10mil

Jimmy + cheap WR(hopefully Snead) is more impactful than any FA WR + bargain TE

This and to be fair that was a completely different team and locker room. Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara are light years ahead of what we had on that roster. The OL, when healthy, is better. Mark Ingram is a better and more complete back. Jimmy Graham and his skill set is the missing ingredient to our offense becoming unstoppable next season.

lolyap

obviously, bunchie

149 targets, 99 catches 1300 yards

Graham dominated the target share that year and our team was great

2013 was similar. We made playoffs that year

The Saints and Jimmy Graham have been seriously discussing a reunion, but talks have stalled over the last several hours per sources. Both sides still hoping to reach agreement. Other teams including the Packers are in the hunt.

If talks are stalled that means Jimmy wants more than we are willing to pay, and another team is probably offering more.

I imagine he’s asking a lot and packers are willing to pay a higher amount. I’d imagine jimmy would give the saints a chance to match or come close.

Got to let him walk. I'd love to have him back, but let's not empty the checkbook for it.

That's what I'm thinking. He would rather sign with the Saints if the money is close, but right now the Packers are offering much more.

Packer's modus operandi has always been to low ball free agents. Maybe the new GM is different, but I highly doubt it.

No what I am saying is when we had multiple weapons, especially out of the backfield, he was great. I am agreeing with you just something about that last year soured me on him but I think with what we have adding him could be great.

Sadly, he probably should. SB rings are very rare, gotta take the money on the table when you can over the ring that may never be on the table in the first place. Maybe the calculation is different for a guy like Brees who has a hundred million in the bank and can do endorsements for the rest of his life, but that's not Jimmy's situation.
