It's never getting better, is it?

At least with the Bengals, their owner is just cheap. Gayle is completely oblivious.

It's pretty clear the Saints are just a social vehicle for her and not a serious venture. Sell the team for the love of God, then she can go be a socialite, politician or whatever it is she wants.

If glass and pride means getting your teeth knocked in and running for 18 yards on 17 carries then I absolutely agree with her assessment.

he ain't getting fired before mid year in year 2. saints fans are a fricking embarassment of constant petulant emotions. this ain't a defend kellen post, but at least act like a fricking adult about what an owner is going to publicly say and a realistic timeline on moving on from kellen.

Not really. Not sure why anyone expected anything different.

Whether it's because she values her circle more than on-field outcomes and feelings of Saints fans, or whether it's because people who need to be fired know where bodies are buried, nothing significant will change. That's been pretty obvious since Allen got fired and Loomis got to stay.

Relax, Chad. I don’t expect her to release a letter or statement regarding Smellen or Mickey’s job status anytime soon. What I do think is that this letter is a mockery to actual Saints fans. It’s a par for the course, tone deaf statement. Was this letter actually necessary?

Dear Friends,

What an extraordinary and memorable week in Paris! As we return home, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to each of you who traveled to France to be part of this historic Saints game. Your presence made the occasion even more meaningful to me and our entire organization.

I know this journey required an enormous amount of time, planning and commitment. Whether you joined us as a devoted fan, corporate partner, business leader, community advocate, or elected official, I am deeply grateful that you chose to share this special experience with us.

While the outcome on the field was not what we had hoped for, we have much to be proud of from our time together. We represented the New Orleans Saints, our beloved city and the entire state of Louisiana with class and pride on an international stage. Everywhere we went, you shared the warmth, hospitality and passion that make our community so special.

The week also offered valuable opportunities to strengthen the ties between Louisiana and France. Conversations among government officials, business leaders and cultural organizations opened many doors for business development, investment, tourism and cultural exchange. I look forward to seeing these relationships grow and bring lasting benefits to both our city and state.

Above all, I will treasure the people: familiar faces so far from home, new friendships, thoughtful conversations and the joy of sharing this historic occasion. Your enthusiasm was a wonderful reminder that wherever the Saints play, the Who Dat nation is there with us.

I also want to extend my sincere gratitude to Commissioner Roger Goodell and the National Football League for their leadership in bringing this historic game to Paris, to our gracious French hosts for their hospitality, and to everyone who worked so hard to welcome and care for those who made the trip.

Football brought us together in Paris, but the memories, friendships and partnerships we built will endure well beyond the game.

Thank you for cheering us on and bringing a piece of home to Paris. Your friendship, loyalty and continued belief in the New Orleans Saints and the future of our great city and state mean so much to me. It was a privilege to share this remarkable experience with you, and I will always be grateful that you were part of it.

With heartfelt appreciation and warmest regards,

Gayle Benson
New Orleans Saints Owner & CEO

I said in another thread, Gayle's overreaction a week ago was related to her worrying that the trip would end up being a disaster (from her perspective.)

She just experienced being wined and dined and treated like royalty. The trip as an event went well.

She views this is an extreme success.

yeah, what a shitbag owner thanking her fans for spending their time and money and trying to make the most of the memories made in paris.

and she is putting in real work of trying to help our city with tourism connections with Paris/France etc. nothing about it is negative and she's doing exactly what a great owner should be doing.

we're just all pissy cause the frickers who put on the headset and uniforms are playing like shite.

Looks like the fans screwed this up. Gayle was worried about being embarrassed on the international stage. And while the team sucked in the game, the fans were great before/during/after the game. So, it is all of your fault she will not be firing anyone

I'm also pissy for spending on season tickets to watch 3 straight home losses. We didn't represent ourselves with pride

We got fricking 11 yards rushing from our backs. That's pathetic. Pride? Pride?! in Jim mora voice

I’m sure they’ve been on the edge of their seats waiting for their thank you letter and are better now for having received it.

Wasn’t aware that by being the owner of an NFL team meant she also held the responsibilities of the lieutenant governor and mayor. Also, nobody is frustrated about expanding the brand internationally.

Got it. Troll on, Chad.
