What do you do with Carr's contract then? You have $35m in cap space sitting on the bench next year? How do you fill the other holes on the team, most notable our porous OL?

Face it, we are stuck with Carr until 2026.

The upcoming class should be a really nice QB class. Penix, Williams, May, Daniels, Nix, Ewers, Riley Leonard, hell, they could take Michael fricking Pratt. It's time to throw in the towel, tank, fire the coaching staff, hire an innovative offensive coach and let him work with an actual good draft pick quarterback (something we haven't had since Archie Manning).

Even if full tank was on, there’s no way we would suck bad enough to have a worse record than the Broncos or Giants or some of the other shitty teams

I’m just hoping for a top 10 pick at this point

You keep Carr. You have to. But you have your future QB on the team learning.

I disagree. We need to find a way to start stocking up on young Oline.

The question is learning from who? If it’s Carmichael and DA, what’s the point? They would ruin prime Tom Brady.

We could have had the Broncos 1st rounder this year but we said no thanks and took their 29th pick last year and handcuffed ourselves to Carr instead.

Yup. You build from the line out. A better line with better offensive playcalling in the first few games and we are 6-1 instead of 3-4 and talking about competing with the Niners and Eagles.

We've got multiple high round picks on the OL.

And it stinks.

Maybe we need to adjust who is evaluating the OL talent

Penix has a really long throwing motion. Really long.
I don’t think that works in the nfl

Top 10 is high enough to get a QB imo. Heck, Jayden had progressed so nicely that he's a likely first rounder and I'd take his reads and pocket presence over Carr right now.

Maye is going to challenge for the #1 pick and should go top 3. I just can't see the Saints sucking enough to get that high. Maybe if they're just outside of top 5, Chicago decides to build around Fields, and we trade for #1? But that will take a shite load of assets, and your entire 2024 & 2025 draft will basically be only that pick when there are a lot of holes that also need to be addressed.

Have to assume Caleb & Maye are out; and need to jockey for position for the best of the next group.

At some point the difficult decision needs to be made. Sit his arse and make him renegotiate to be cut/traded. Draft a rookie QB, roll w Carr another year and plan to make the QB move in 2025 while you continue to build the team around the young QB and fix the o-line

that's an improvement from our usual 35 million not even on the roster any longer.

Only way I would be happy with a QB is if we can get into the top 10 and get Alt, Fashanu, Mims, or Lathum and then grab Penix in round 2 with the Denver pick.

If he drops that far, he would 100% be worth packaging a late round pick to get in the early 30s and lock down that 5th year option.

What the hell is so special about Drake Maye?
Jayden Daniels has been putting up better numbers through the air and on the ground against better competition.
