A contract extension for #Saints C Erik McCoy announced by his agents Bill Johnson and Matthew Pope of @apexsportsgroup. The deal is worth up to $63.75 million and includes over $40 million in guarantees over five years, sources say.

I'm not sure 40 million guaranteed over 5 years is too much. Seems good to me with the way salary is going up.

I think it's a damn good contract as well. The only time McCoy wasn't playing well was last year while playing hurt. He ended up getting healthy & looked great by the end of the year.

Absolutely. I believe it makes him the fourth highest paid center. But considering his age and performance since entering the league the value is great. The three ahead of him are Jason Kelce, Frank Ragnow, and Ryan Jensen.

I get what you are saying but they weren't 4 mil apart on a contract.
That's between and 20 and 25 mil difference.
