I love Ceedy, but he didn’t go about things the right way no matter how far apart the discussions were.
Could have been an all timer here, just with a bit a patience and negotiation.
Loomis and Co typically find a way, even with Covid decreasing the cap.

You need to separate Ceedy the player and Ceedy the person. Ceedy has been trending the Junior Gallette route. Do you really want to pay top dollar for a nickle corner who already fights with teammates and ghosts his coaches?

I wanted to retain Marcus Williams a great bit more than CGJ (my response above was about MW not CGJ). My issues with CGJ only start with a post-MW world (losing both is seriously terrible).
