Drew Brees Superdome Debate

Does anyone always find it to be a lazy argument when discussing top QB’s that the main argument/criticism against Brees was playing in a dome? Yet these same people will ignore someone like manning who played 90% of his career in a dome with two HOF WR’s?

I've rarely heard the argument, to be honest. I've never debated it, because it comes across as quite retarded.

Is the idea that he never played outdoors or something?
Over a third of the league has at least a retractable roof now so this is getting to be a pretty asinine conversation.

Cleveland, Tennesee, and Chicago are all about to get a retractable I believe as well.

It’s a poor argument against him as he was elite everywhere he played. That said, he was markedly better record wise and stats wise at home.
No clue how the disparity compares to other QBs (I assume most are better at home), but the stats do show Brees was better in the dome.

My main argument against Brees is that he apologized to a bunch of racists for being white and being proud of his grand father for his services.
Then he sent his wife out to apologize while he sat in the cuck chair.

I think Brees ability to process his reads the way he did was the main reason for his success
He threw WR's open with pinpoint passing

He may be borderline worth a Hall of Fame nomination just with his outdoor stadium career stats alone:
33,025 yards
224 TD
110 INT
65% completion
1 Super Bowl MVP

65% completion

depending on which forum you're reading posts off of it could just be a bot account.
not saying that they all are but I think you'd be surprised at how many there are out there.

The most common arguments I hear against Brees are : He doesn't have an MVP, he only won 1 Super Bowl. He was screwed out of at least 1 MVP, and football is a team sport.

And Denver and Jacksonville and Kansas City and Washington

my thing is this - if they are gonna do that towards Brees, then where is the same argument being made against Kurt Warner? the greatest show on turf was majority indoors, yet you never hear that said about kurt.

If people hold that against Brees, same standard should be applied to Peyton Manning as well considering he played majority of his career in a dome as well

Yea, I dont like the argument either. Im also anti outdoors as they are miserable games to watch and go to. I understand the appeal but teams playing in a dome in relatively equal settings as most would play is a better judgement. Someone's ability to play in -4 degrees doesnt necessarily make them a better qb imo

I blame CSP for that fiasco. A couple team mates hung Drew out to dry and he did nothing to protect his star QB. That never had to leave the locker room.

IMO by that time CSP was on autopilot, he was planning he’s exit strategy and no longer cared but yea the whole team was a mess.

It was a pretty situation Drew got thrown into. Teammates need to settle that shite behind closed doors. Michael Thomas was a cancer. Drew probably wishes he didn't get swept up in woke mania.

Probably the most warped, inaccurate version of the event ever put to print
