He’s not perfect but he’s a top 5 NFL coach and we are very lucky to have him.

Watching how he's handled Bridgwater and Hill to the tune of an 8-0 record makes me realize he's arguably the best coach in the NFL during the regular season. Just needs more playoff success to be cemented as one of the greatest.

Same here. Well, 31 but I was around for enough of our suckitude to appreciate how good we've had it the last 15 years or so. This applies to LSU too even though this year is a lost season, this has been by far the best generation to be a Louisiana sports fan. Pretty much since Y2K, Saints won their first playoff game and LSU won the SEC the next year and beat Illinois like a drum in the Sugar Bowl after that comeback win against GT the year before, jumpstarting the trajectory of both programs.

Ditka era

You wouldn't understand. If you don't remember the Mora years, you just don't know. Elite, all world defensive front 7. (Makes the guys this year look average) They'd either find the most excruciating ways to lose with the playoffs on the line. (think river city relay every year) or make the playoffs and not show up at all.

The Billy Joes....that was when I became a fan. The Billy Joes, Danny Wureffel getting his helmet turned backwards, Heath Shuler. Just disaster after disaster. And it was miserable. Ill never take this run of good football for granted.

I’m 37 and was there when we returned the first kick for a TD in Tulane Stadium.

I think I posted this before, but in the last 20 years and ignoring the Katrina season (which managing to get 3 wins during that season was a real accomplishment for sure), the worst record we have had is 7-9.

We are definitely enjoying the greater years of this franchise as before 2000, we had like 6 or 7 winning seasons, 4 playoff appearances with 0 wins, and 1 division title.

I have Saints memories prior the but strongest early memories of have of the saints revolve around the words “another Aaron Brooks turnover.”

I’m 34 and still remember the Billy Joes, Jim Everett’s, and Danny Wuerfel’s. I’ve been living this up since 06.

I know. Just riffing off the joke that so many people claim to have been there for that game.

Yep, when they threw that Hail Mary at the end it reminded of the two games back in 78 I believe when Atlanta beat the Saints on the last play to make the playoffs. Atlanta went 9-7 and the saints finished 7-9.

It really upsets me when the babies cry all game long.

We are in the golden age of Saints (and even with this year, LSU) football.

I’ll be honest. I’m 24 and don’t feel the same pain as some of you older baws. Let’s see I was 10 when 2006 happened so I’ve really only seen happy days.

I guess other than the playoff losses, but everyone feels those, 2012-2016 wasn’t the most fun, outside of 2013.

In some ways you are lucky to avoid those miserable years. I think I'm still scarred. It was an accomplishment and cause for celebration for WINNING A GAME. Forget playoffs. No one even talked playoffs during those miserable years.
