I know we all are blind optimists, but seriously this is starting to feel like the Ditka/Haslett/Venturi days all over again.Organizational mismanagement at every level, including the retread Head Coach. They let Sean and Drew do whatever the frick they wanted based on a Superbowl over a decade ago. SMH

Every team in the NFL that does not have a franchise QB, or reasonable hope of acquiring one, is on a sinking ship.

Saints lost winnable games. I don't think they can recover.

Is a 1-3 team that lost winnable games in better or worse shape than a team that is 1-3 and lost games they had no chance in?

Teams they lost to are a combined 6-6, team they beat is 2-2.

The records of the teams they have played are 3-1, 2-2, 2-2, 1-3.

The next 4 t3ams they play are a combined 7-9.

The records of the teams they will play are 2-2, 2-2, 2-2, 1-3.

If all the previous games were winnable, it stands to reason the next 4 are also winnable.

at 8 games in we will have a very good idea of the amount of bailing necessary or if the ship can even be save.

Plain and simple time for everyone to accept that it is over. Payton and Brees are not coming back. The Golden Era of the last 15 years are done. Time to blow this up and start from scratch!

Too early to panic. Not too early to wonder whether the current structure of the organization is capable of building a championship-level NFL team and organization.

Jeff Ireland is still in the building, right? That should give us some hope.

Same thing happened to the Bulls when they made the last push with Jordan. Only difference is they won championships where as the Saints didn't. So now you have to sit thru some bad years until the salary cap issues are over with.

Nope, some of us have been spitting the truth at you for 2 seasons now. My 2 biggest takes the last 2 seasons were that any attempt to move forward with Jameis Winston as starting QB and building a squad around him were futile and that Dennis Allen was simply a continuity hire with absolutely zero upside.

Now we have what I view as a weak placeholder as head coach and a shitty QB. Really no draft capital worth a shite in what is going to be an exceptional 2023 class. Saints deserve this.

And it's going to be a long way back.

4 games into the first season and fans are already looking to jump off the ship and claim we're back to the Ditka/Haslett/Venturi days??? To make that claim, I would imagine you at least need to get through a year.

Also, interesting choice of coaches. Venutri was an interim HC that took over for Mora during an already shite season, that would not be a good comparison. Haslett was 2-3 wins from being a statistically better HC than Mora before Katrina happened; and until Payton showed up was the 2nd best HC in franchise history (speaks volumes to the shitty history of the franchise)
