2-3 years is an eternity for a 40+ year old QB.

And between Jameis and Dalton they stand to make 24 million this year.

Unless he plans on playing 3rd string it aint happening. Not here anyway.

At his worst he’s a 2nd round playoff qb.
Problem is defenses knew he couldn’t go deep and pressed. Then we had cook fumble which made me lose my mind.

Year before Danielle hunter ate us alive.

He is at a level where he has seen just about everything and can manipulate defenses. Screens, Slants, digs, but anything over 20 is a problem. His arm is completely dead and he can beat teams by outsmarting them and works in the regular season, but will fall short in the playoffs. He was a great QB ,but his time has passed, his arm can't make all the throws, and he should stay retired.

It was actually nice being able to stretch the field last season with Winston. I loved Drew but it’s over.

You realize it’s just an attention thing he does right? He isn’t coming back to play

Where are you getting that from? From what I can find in 2020 he was 21st in completed air yards per passing attempt.

ETA: Oh I see, you’re getting that from AY/A. That doesn’t stand for Air Yards/Attempt. That stands for adjusted yards per attempt. Adjusted yards means this formula: (Passing Yards + 20 * Passing TD - 45 * Interceptions). So no air yards.

Air yards means how far the ball traveled. So it doesn’t involve yards after catch from a receiver. That’s listed under the advanced tab.

Brees is playing the publicity game. His star is greatly diminished at a time where ex-players are getting player money for broadcasting. No one has talked about Brees in months, so this is simply him trying to raise his profile so he can cash in.

Two of the more beloved by fans Saints went from the Saint to the Falcons. Bobby Hebert and Morten Anderson.

I think if Drew comes back and ends up there, it will be because the Saints do not want him back. People will see that.

And the Saints D will squash him like a bug

You think Drew Brees comes out of retirement to play for the Falcons? The team that is quite literally in shambles?

Are yall all on crack?

Look Brees did more for the Saints than anyone could have imagined. His time didn't end the way everyone wanted. Not everyone gets to ride off into the sunset at the top. He was plagued by bad circumstances and injuries the last few years. He can't be competitive in today's NFL unless he has a #1 defense and Derrick Henry at running back.
