he was hurt at some point during the middle of season. messed up his labrum/throwing arm. was a huge fall off after game 10 or there abouts.
if he's healthy, i say bring him on. one of the all-time greats and we still have winston, who showed he can lead this team to wins.
i like dalton as a backup, but he can find another team this far out from the regular season.

That’s part of the problem with age. It’s harder to stay healthy and Brees was no exception to that. Younger Brees could take multiple hits and be fine or at least play through injuries without a noticeable drop off in play. Even if Brees were to comeback healthy, he’s highly unlikely to have the durability to stay healthy for even half a season
And people are taking his one comment too seriously. It was most likely said in jest. In the same comment he mentioned maybe training for pickle ball or senior golf tour.
