I got blasted for saying Ivory was better back in September. Glad to see people are coming around. For being a 'power' back, Ingram goes down pretty easily compared to Ivory or even Sproles.

I just thought this org was smarter then to blow multiple high picks on a RB that isn't a premier type back.

Every touch that Ingram gets is one touch less for the more dynamic Thomas or Sproles.

Ivory is great for three yards and a cloud of dust

Yah I was so hard on Brooks, Grant, David, Shanle...

Oh wait - no I wasn't.

And Meachem has been a huge disappointment so don't even play that card.

Deshawyn Wynn, Julius JOnes, Ladell Betts??

are these the guys that round out the 5 guys getting hurt, in your head?

They signed Sporles in late July, only after they had traded Reggie Bush to fill that specific role. Not exactly a true RB in this regard.

I can see it both ways. Sproles only has 3 yrs, PT will break down soon and ivory is an injury waiting to happen, so ingram as the back of the future i'm fine with it.

But to have that kind of depth at rb while we trot out shanle, quddus, torrence, and DLP because we have no one better is a bigger hit to this team than having to play ladell betts for 1-2 games.

RB's adapt to the NFL faster than just about any position in football.

Getting the back of the future isn't like drafting Rodgers and letting him sit for 2-4 years letting him learn the system.

ehh we paid to much for Ingram IMO, but that is more going to effect us next year than this.

If Loomis and SP had kept the 2nd and drafted Vereen, Leshore or someone else I would have cared les

Meachem could die tomorrow and i would be satisfied with what he gave us during the SB year

this is a crock, besides LB we were set at starter at just about every position on the team.

we drafted Tennant last year as an interior lineman. We added Jordan on the DL in the 1st, Patrick later in the draft at CB. RB was a need high on the list.

I wont even get into LB. That has been a glaring need for about a decade. Ive just come to accept they will never take a LB in the 1st 2 rounds.

No kidding, a guy that was pretty instrumental in helping us win a super bowl, worth the pick in my book

Ridley is in a way more crowed backfield then Ingram. Besides the Law Firm is holding tight to his production.

how great Ingram was his Heisman winning year

You mean 2 years ago before he got hurt, since we're so worried about injuried RB's we just throw away a 2nd or 1st round pick depending on how you want to look at it?

For the guy saying they only gave up 1 pick. They also used 1 on him, that's 2. For the 50 millionth time, most of us that thought/knew it was a bad move on draft day don't think you should ever use a first round pick on a RB, let alone 2 picks.

The Saints are stockpiled at RB which is kind of strange considering the offense, it gives us the problem of who to put in during garbage time, maybe Jed Collins or w/e.

bottom line we could improve this team by sacrificing depth at rb/fb for starter level play at lb, oc, ot, or safety. All of which we could've gotten in the 2nd round.
