If Hurts is a NFL QB you would think this guy could be one

Some mocks had him going #2.

The same mocks some posters here are using as a guide to say we reached for a player.

A lot of people felt he was really raw and more of a project. But they loved the traits he had. Definitely felt far from a sure thing at QB.

Not going to lie I would have never even heard of the kid if it wasn’t for these draft experts …. Only reason I’m shocked he is falling so hard is because he was unanimous in being kicked in the first round .. reminds me of that cal kid back in the early 90’s when kipper had him top ten and he went in the eight round

Some guy on ESPN radio this morning was absolutely losing his shite because the Steelers took Pickett over him.

Told you guys 2 months ago, that Willis was awful and I got trolled pretty hard for it.

The NFL must have noticed too.

Dude could barely complete a pass against shitty competition.

Dude is a Practice Squad QB at best in the NFL.

Remember Adrian McPherson? That’s who Malik Willis is.

Can’t remember who said it but some GM or whatever says they would do all this work scouting players, etc. Then they would draft a player high on their board, only for the owner to complain that they didn’t pick somebody high in a mock draft publication that he had no idea how good they were or not lol

Hurts damn near won a Heisman and that was after winning a title at Bama (as a true frosh, right?)

Hurts has flaws but is a natural leader and is well-respected.

Willis was mediocre at a shite school.

Hurts also was drafted in what? The mid-2nd?

I used to find interest in mocks but they are usually way off because it takes one move and whole landscape of needs change. These mock drafts analysts make the weatherman look like they can see the future.

That is a great pick at 86 for the Titans. No real risk with huge upside. Willis looked like a different QB playing with NFL calibre OL and skills guys at the senior bowl.

quote:

- No. 1 QB in this class w/ 55.6% completions on throws 11-20 yards downfield outside numbers ($$$ NFL throws)

- Off-target only 11.1%. Next closest: Zappe, 18.6%

- No. 1 all-time PFF big-time throw rate (11.0%)… over 2016 Josh Allen (10.6%). Absolutely enormous arm.

- More than 20% of MW’s passes LY were 20+ yards downfield — he was No. 23 outta 140 FBS QB with 50.7% adjusted completions on those throws

- Reported 4.37 forty as soph at Auburn.. woulda ranked No. 7 among *WR* at combine between Christian Watson and Garrett Wilson

- Malik Willis led FBS in broken tackles forced with 90 — Kenneth Walker had 89 on 176 more carries

Willis in the 3rd is fine.

Willis in the top 10 was insane.

Hard to be a bust this late in the draft, but he'll still be a bust. He was trash against the only real team he played, Ole miss

Dude that is some real fricking talent, being able to assess a QB on the basis of one game played. Awesome!!

Taysom Hill is 7-2 as starter in the NFL. There is hope for any dual threat QB with off the chart athleticism. With some fine tuning and the right scheme, Willis can be a dog. Won’t happen overnight

Titans

This was the best team for him. The titans are a run first team with Derek Henry so he will have a lot of favorable match ups. Think Lamar Jackson with an MVP candidate at RB.

Willis easily has the highest ceiling of any QB by far.

His tools are far and away the best.

Titans got a steal.
