DA can't afford to blow his second chance as a HC.

He must find a franchise QB. Carson Wentz, Jared Goff, Marcus Mariota. Derek Carr, and Josh Rosen are young QB'S that are possibly available and needing a change of scenery much like Ryan Tannehill did in Miami.
Go for Garappolo, Wilson or Rodgers if wanting a more established starter like with signing Brees years ago.

Holy shitty list Batman ... you think Wentz, Goff, Mariota or Josh fricking Rosen is the answer? Jesus Christ

It for sure isnt Winston, Siemian, or Hill. DA can't ride with either of those three.

I don’t know why the Raiders would bail on Carr. He’s been steady amidst a dysfunctional organization.

I'll take "I don't know how money works in the NFL" for 800, Alex...

Out of those “retreads” spoken above. Carr, Mariota, or Winston for me. Probably in that order.

You people are so simple-minded.
This is where we are. We either find a diamond in the rough reclamation project (Wentz, Goff, Mariota etc), draft a QB at 18 that happens to play above his draft grade, or overpay for a veteran.
None of these are likely scenarios to lead to success. And, it would be moronic to exclude one of these options. Blindly passing on a guy like Wentz or Goff would be moronic.

Drew Brees was 27 and had been effectively beat out for his job by Rivers when he signed with the Saints.
Garoppolo is 30, Wilson 33, and Rodgers 38.
There is no version of 2006 Drew Brees in this group of FA QBs. May Trubisky or Mariota could surprise me like Brees did in 2006 (I thought he was washed up after his injury and subsequent surgery, I often think back about that, never been so happy to be wrong).
Only time will tell us if whatever the team does is the right move.

All but 1 of these has already had a change of scenery.
The one who hasn't? Yeah he's the only one on this list worth giving a shot to.

I don't understand the hate on Wentz. He had better stats this year than Josh Allen, Derek Carr, and Tannenhill. The receiver situation in Indy might have been worse than ours. Guy can't throw and catch the ball.

Would be his last HC job
Meh maybe Carr.

Well adios to Dennis Allen then

Carr isn't available.
Why do people keep saying that?
He will sign a new extension soon.

Maybe he’s talking about the DE

Was going to make a similar statement. How many new chances do you give guys before realizing that not every QB that has ever started in the NFL is a franchise QB.
Rosen just needs that 4th shot?
For all the shite Gruden gets, he was considered a QB guy yet he couldn't do anything with Mariota?
Goff failed under McVay but will succeed under Carmicheal?
Wentz started great with Pederson, then quickly faded
Carr isn't going anywhere

Wentz had less interceptions, so maybe he's just looking at that. Of course, Allen had more yards, more TDs, higher completion percentage, better rushing average, more rushing yards, more rushing TDs

Nah his last season in San Diego he kept Rivers on the sidelne. they spent a top 5 pick on the guy and wanted him to start accompanied by the fact Brees had a serious shoulder injury in the last game led to them choosing not to resign. There was serious conversations about keeping him in San Diego regardless of Rivers had that injury not occurred.
