I like King if he's there, which I don't think he will be. Otherwise, I like Cunningham. If both are gone, I love the Willis pick. Also the freak from Connecticut would be intriguing.

so because he's got long arms and only did 15 reps at 225 you don't like him?

Im just pointing out his weakness, which is his weakness. I do see you're making excuses for it.

I've also seen him play in person.

Williams could be outstanding if he chooses to. One of the highest ceilings in the draft.

But I don't think putting him back in Louisiana is a good idea based on the rumor mill in T-Town.

Of those three in the OP I'd take Cunningham. Tim Williams might still be there in round 3.

Williams 6'3" 244lbs NFL.com

Willis 6'4" 255lbs NFL.com

Not that big of a difference in size.

Me too, but at this point, we have to get guys that can get to the QB.

I love Baker, mainly because I see Earl Thomas in him and he's a fiery little bastard. He's a leader that can probably play over Bell and do a lot of different things.

If Cunningham is gone I'd love Baker and Willis. Hell, just say frick it and trade the other 3rd rounder and a future pick and move up twice

i mean...theoretically locking up CB for 10 years could be worth it

we do have cam and may be able to squeeze rotational pass rushing from kikaha and okafor (along with interior rushing of fairley and rankins). you can build a pass rush from the secondary. that's exactly how SEA did it

I don't think we will have a problem taking a pass rusher. I think it will happen, especially at 42.

I just hope if some of the better players fall: Baker, Cunningham, etc that we consider moving up. Baker could be a starter Day 1. Cunningham could beat out Ellerbe. You never know.

Not sure king fits our defense. Esp after the Browner and SJB debacles. If CB I like Awuzie who I actually think can play some safety.

Derek Rivers would be my edge pick if guys like Lawson or Willis go. I like Cunningham too

I've seen Cunningham in person a few times this past year.

Very solid player. Never makes mental errors, comes in clutch at big moments, made some nice open field tackles, and has plenty of size/athleticism to play in the league.

He's not going to be Ray Lewis and he doesn't have freakish measurables, but the guy will be a very sturdy LB in the NFL for a long time.

He just needs to add about 15-20 pounds and more time in the weight room. Vandy isn't known for their weight training.

ETA:

Would love the Saints to draft him.

Dalvin Cook
Budda Baker
Carl Lawson
Zach Cunningham
Chidobe Awuzie
Quincy Wilson

Names standing out most to me right now. Still looking at available options.

Cunningham would also be a great locker room guy. I know that's way down the list of important traits, but its definitely in the "plus" column. By all accounts a very hard worker and a great kid.

We don't need him to be Ray Lewis.

We just need him to be an Alec Ogletree, a Anthony Barr type possibly

Saints need 2 CBs and getting 2 elite guys in the draft wouldn't be the end of the world

we're not going to fill every hole on our team in the draft b/c our team has a shitload of holes
